Which begs the question wtf were they thinking? The point of Q2 is not to risk everything (absurdly in this case) but to qualify within the top ten in order to move on to the Q3 session. It just seems unbelievably daft to me: chasing empty glory with nothing to gain and everything to lose. They totally shot themselves in the foot, and removed themselves from the equation with no help from anyone else.

It's curious that it's just the driver and RE, whereas in the race there's the whole Woking think tank and the pitwall. I suppose there's no time to confer.
I hardly know anything about Phil Prew, I've never seen an interview, but I keep thinking about Hammy + Rob Smedley...
