I see Lewis, the new rainmeister, is slowest in P15. Apparently because he thought uhm, put on intermediates, wich turned out to be wrong. Bad day for hamilton & co. Thats not to say the man of 50 milion dollars a year did any better. even with a whole session fo full wets, p14.
Well done domenicalli, well done di montezemolo, kill my beloved ferrari!!
I fully understand he chose inters. He is, after all, the new rainmeister and can control situations that no other drivers can.
Seriously though, his over-confidence is beginning to show.

Kimi and Lewis will have the advantage of avoiding parc feme. Who knows how important they will be because of the impredictable weather and set up gambles?
Anyhow, great job for Massa.

Try what? Intermediates and the glory of being fastest in Q2?
Well, atleast Kimi has the excuse of Ferrari not working very well on wet, but the self-proclaimed "I can adapt to any condition" -wonderboy has no excuses.
Serves him right for making those dumb-ass comments, once again.

Why did he have to gamble? He was a few tenths away from Kovalainen in Q1. What did he/they try to achieve? Beat the others with five second margin? To what purpose? A place in Q3 was a given and then he would have put Massa outside of the top ten...

Massa already did a great job today. And again proves he is a very good rain driver. I think we can now safely say silverstone was more a car/ bad setup problem.

if it is going to be dry tomorrow the top guys don't want to finish in the top 10
would u rather start from the grid in a dry race with wets on, or from the pits with drys?
I know which option I would go for.

No, they took a gamble on what would be the faster tyre, but got it wrong. That's racing for you.

No need to gamble as the only thing that matters is to go through to Q3, something he would have done without a problem if he had given himself the same terms as the others. If anyone had reason to gamble, it was Ferrari and the rest of the guys who was chasing, not Hamilton and McLaren.

if you don't finish in the top 10 you can change your setup.
starting from the pit lane with dry rubber will beat starting from the grid with wets

So, Alonso misses a chicane and by not stopping and turning around to rejoin at the same point or not screwing his tyres to make the corner regardless has enough time and rubber to get a laptime in that gets him outside the relegation zone.
It was another lap.

Two Torros Rosso and a Red Bull in the first four, and Vettel on Pole - I think Honda should do us all a favour and withdraw from F1, it's just getting too embarrassing. Honda's budget must be a multiple of TR and RB combined; you can throw Forces India into that as well on today's performance.

depending on conditions and set-up it might be better to start from the pits and have a setup to match the conditions.

Meh, only P6 for Massa. I would be better if he got P11 in Q2, then he could change the strategy for tomorrow.
