Does anyone know what happens if qualifying is washed out? I could find nothing in the regulations. I have an idea that the race would start in current WDC order, but I am not sure.

Perhaps rescheduled to Sunday morning like Suzuka a few years ago with the typhoon?

What do you think: Will they use a setup for rain or dry?
Rain is forecast between 1200 and 1400 and after 1500 tomorrow. It is going to be a tough one. If someone gambles and gets lucky, we could have a freak result.

I have already read speculations that they may delay qualifying until Sunday morning. Is that true?

Yes, it's true. What is the weather like in Monza at the moment?
Heavy rain.
600mm is forecast for Saturday.

O'boy I hope you added one zero to the figure 60, otherwise the whole town of monza will drown.

Rain is OK, but if it's so much rain that it gets too unsafe, it should not go on.

lol, listen to the incredible bias of ITV.
And they claim "balance and perspective".
edit: interesting onboard: Lewis could easily have gone through the chicane. He blatantly chose not to.

yes, I take it back. They do seem to be now. Especially the drivers. Just goes to show how over the top the hysteria was on this board immediately after the race.

Correctly in my opinion, changing the rules after the event does not make a penalty. Anyway this thread is about qualifying not about Spa...

Not sure, but it didnt look like it was raining when the program started, but I could see rain falling in the puddles a little while later.

Kova not changing tyres. I reckon they are stockpiling his tyres for Hamilton. A bit like how Schumacher used to take Massa's and Barichello's tyres.

Stop talking crap, the drivers get a set allocation of tyres and cannot donate them to another driver.

So, Alonso misses a chicane and by not stopping and turning around to rejoin at the same point or not screwing his tyres to make the corner regardless has enough time and rubber to get a laptime in that gets him outside the relegation zone.

Yeah, I thought he set his best time on a lap he cut the chicane - but hard to tell from the TV coverage. Wonder who's running wet setup and who's running a dry setup in expectation of a dry race tomorrow.

I see Lewis, the new rainmeister, is slowest in P15. Apparently because he thought uhm, put on intermediates, wich turned out to be wrong. Bad day for hamilton & co. Thats not to say the man of 50 milion dollars a year did any better. even with a whole session fo full wets, p14.
Well done domenicalli, well done di montezemolo, kill my beloved ferrari!!

I wonder if they're on something closer to dry settings than their team mates. Certainly there's an awkward compromise to be made between settings which will work in the wet and settings which will work in the dry. We should see plenty of overtaking tomorrow, at least.

Indeed. It could be most interesting. Particularly if it is slightly damp.
One would expect that the strategists involved will ensure that the optimum tactics for starting mid-grid would be employed, but given as these strategic geniuses thought it best not to send their drivers out on a banker lap when rain was pretty obviously going to fall, I don't hold out much hope.

WTF?
Raikkonen & Hamilton 14th and 15th; Kovalainen 2nd. Is HK running a full wet set-up and Hamilton so dry they left out both the Vermouth and the olive?
