Just looking at the pictures of TR pole position with Vettel in the centre of it all... these guys celebrated like winning the GP, nice to see this kind of eruption of joy!
I was wondering if it was more emotional because Vettel will step in at Red Bull at the next race?
Anyone can confirm?

It's been denied by Berger.

I doubt anyone here can "confirm" that. And I doubt it's the case. It's not necessarily a simple thing; just jumping into a new team and perform straight away. IF this happens, he'll have to get used to a new engine and a new team of engineers as well.

A driver switching teams half way through a season?.....
Has that happened before? how odd?....
Vettel is sure a hot driver, I like him very much. I lived in Germany for 8 years and he reminds me very much of the guys I used to be in a band with.....anyone who says Germans don't have a sense of humour or fun, is a moron......and Vettel is for sure a star of the future.....well, he's a star right now.......
But switching teams?.....
Eh?

MS switched teams after only one qualifying session and driving one corner of the race before retiring...
DC's supposedly finally leaving F1 at the end of the season. How about... right now?

Indeed, they do have humour, it's just different to the British kind of humour, so meny not all get it. That said, I prefer the British humour ...

He's expected to perform closer to Webber than DC has, so the thought-process is that he might score more points.
But this has been denied by both Berger (STR) and Marko (RBR).

no, he's contracted to drive with red bull next season + his car's much better at the mo so that would be silly

Oddly enough, I find the humour between the two very similar.......Dry, and witty.....
I recall one late night we were talking about the rights of wrongs of eating meat...... Our bass player, a German named Uvey, went into a long lament about how it was totaly evil to kill things for food......he went on to say something like....
"Killing cows for food is wrong, but killing cows for leather is crucial"....

lolol....

I confirm DC stays until the end. DC is source itself for this.
Can someone really spell Toro right?
It has only one R. I've seen thousands of times in this BB as toRRo. It is not so difficoult. Thanks.

Actually he has been contracted to Red Bull for slightly more than a year now. He never had a contract with Toro Rosso. But anyways, i doubt Red Bull will change their line-up mid-season.

Yes, a good one. Still I would rate the British humour more dry or black, if you know what I mean.

Johnny Herbert did exactly this in 1994, well he actually moved from Lotus -> Ligier -> Benetton, but the latter move is more like Vettel's situation as Ligier were the 'B' team of Benetton that year.

i forgot to mention that in the weeks leading up to this race, there was talk of DC not going to the fly away races with red bull i.e. retiring early and vettel would step in, so TR could evaluate other drivers for 2009.
but as some of you confirmed that DC is finishing this season and vettel stays till the end of the season with TR...
i for one dont like to see Vettel joining the mediocre operation that Horner is running.

No chance. I mean STR are ahead of RBR in the WCC already and Vettel is sure to score again before the season ends and I doubt even Berger will be that compliant to let RBR steal his star driver before the season is out. He needs to milk Vettels performances for the last 4 races - he absolutely needs it for the team.
BTW the big party at RBR for DC was because it was his last european race and many ppl are not travelling to the final few races - at least thats what the commentators were telling us .

Yeah..I bet to get him in to the *snr* team i.e. Red Bull now... they would have to drag - kicking and screaming - Vettal from Toro Rosso more or less that is..
Boy aint RB pissed with themselfs for trading a Ferrari unit for a Renault one, self-inflicted wound somehow comes to my mind dunno why..

Nevre thought of it this way but yr prolly right; vettel dont even wanna move teams right now. I bet red bull will also switch back that ferrari engine into the red bull. DC will retire and red bull can test a few rookies in the last 4 races.

Right... So you honestly believe that RBR and STR will not only swap engines but also drivers between now and Singapore? Best thing I've read all day!

Two other recent examples are Jean Alesi, who started the 2001 season at Prost and finished it at Jordan, and Justin Wilson, who started the 2003 season at Minardi and switched to Jaguar.
