Any advice for a Yank who's interested in attending the 2009 IOM TT?

afaik, no U.S. agency offers tours there.

Many thanks!

Lotus23, if you get the chance then you should really try and go as it is a great experience. For 2009, the organisers have promised the following:

You will not find many US travel agencies who include the TT in their programs, but try Pole Position Travel, I know they do all the MotoGP races and they recently opened a US office as well: www.polepositiontravel.com.

Or book your own return flights to London and from there on there are domestic flights to Isle of Man with

Flybe: http://www.flybe.com/destinations/Isle-of-Man.htm

Manxflights: http://www.manxflights.com/

The official TT website is:

http://www.iomtt.com/

You could email them for accommodation suggestions, or do an online search.

And while you're in Europe, maybe combine it with a F1 or MotoGP race.

One of the 4 events I MUST SEE before I die.
(or before it is abandoned because of the nanny state's health and safety concerns)

Lotus, do make the effort. It´s a unique experience and one of the best in motorsport. I´ve attended 14 to date (actually competed in two eek.gif smoking.gif up.gif ) and can´t wait to get there again ASAP. The island is really beautiful, and the people are special. You will have a ball. wave.gif
