Fabulous, we just need two Minardis filling now. You know you want one, whoever's reading this.

I've just taken a Minardi and there is an open slot for a teammate in the Minardi which is crap. Let's have fun.

I have won a race in a Minardi!!! Or was it an Osella? One of the powerful Italian non-Ferrari teams at least.

And I've just gone and joined another public game in F1 2005, and am wondering why... it does kind of lock you into an eventually infinitely extending month or so's committment, doesn't it?

Not that that fact isn't obvious enough on the surface or anything, but I'm definitely beginning to see why people want to get shot of their addictions to this thing, lol. I really need someone to forcibly stop me from joining any more games... I mean, holding my hand down to stop me using the keyboard and everything.

Just a reminder
There is an Atlasholics clan if anyone is wanting to join or is wanting to leave any other wussy green clans that drink black beer
Just say you want to join and we will get an invite to you.

I take that personally!
I joined the 'Atlasholics' clan on BATracer, but er, I don't understand why? Do we compete against other clans on BATracer etc?

Fair enough, off the fence I come. I'd be interested... I assume you don't know my (Batracer) name?

There are competitions where clans compete against one another yes. Also joining a particular clan gives you a few more interaction features with other members of the clan, including a forum and updates on what games your fellow clan members have joined/finished.
Some clans have rivalries between them like BATracer Elite v Stupidracers but that was war won.

I originally joined the Batracer Elite, but to be honest it was full of cherry picking no personality types.... Atlasholics (or Team Ireland ;) ) are much better in that respect....

Dude, didn't you see me cherrypicking the Tyrrell?

You might not have known them as well as I did. I knew quite a few of them before the whole clan thing was set up and there was very few cardboard cut outs.

If you lot are cardboard cutouts, then you're certainly giving us a vicious paper cut in the private '97 game at the moment.

We're boxed in. You've got us contained. We're "moving out" of contention. We're stood there, quivering, in our box...ers. Time for your rivals to think outside of the box and to also overcome the Pandora's Box of that Arrows. But I fear that we're no longer in the frame and that you've simply beaten us fair and square.
Sorry.
I'm just reporting back to say that we've got a Champcar Championship v2.0 game open right now, with no password (#38395). This isn't my game, I'm just doing someone a favour, so no criticism of my overdoing it with the creating of private games, please.
Zippel
Mar 28 2009, 23:27
I'm just as surprised as you are with how well I'm going. The 1997 Prost was far more probamatic when I drove that and in theory the Arrows is worse.
I still expect quite a few mechanical problems for the rest of the season though.

Mar 29 2009, 21:07
The combination of that points gap and your inexplicably unArrowsesquely reliable Arrows makes life just as difficult for us chasing you, though...

Mar 30 2009, 00:04
If I were you, I would only go as fast as I feel comfortable. Otherwise if you go blindly upping your pace, your season may go the other way quite dramatically with few points and down the championship ranking.
Chicken McNuggets
Mar 30 2009, 13:58
Yeah, well given the points difference either way, it looks like defending second place is likely to become my season-long priority in any case. For that, read score steady points to rob you of the Teams' title while you're not looking.

To answer all those asking about it - yes, the F1 2009 carset will be released within the next few days! We are a little later than normal preparing this set, and will most likely roll out additional features after the sets release.
Shall we have a private game? The release should coincide nicely with the end of our current 2008 F1 game.

It is traditional to have an Atlas game upon release of a new carset, particularly F1.
I have an Indy500 finishing soon so I'm well keen to play.....are we taking dibs on cars yet?
Calling the fastest car might be a mad gamble though!
F1 2008 has now finished. That was jolly painful!

You lost me? 3 stop from pole in Montreal - seems a logical strategy to me (at least in 2008 carset its logical)
So there's an '09 BATracer option available soon? They don't hang about do they?!!

I was joking. I lost that race (after winning the previous 4) because of a bad stop.

I'm beginning to detect the possible reason why the Batracer homepage isn't loading for me right now...

Bloomin' bunch of mercenaries, you never see them around day-to-day and then there's just a stampede just because of a spangly new carset.

I bet these are the same people who queue overnight outside a Japanese HMV at 4am just so they can be first to own a virtually pre-production PlayStation 5 that's riddled with faults and doesn't work back home anyway. Just my analogy if, indeed, the 2009 F1 carset has just been released.

Bitter? Me?

Players will need to be registered and logged in before they can enter the private game. When logged in, clicking the following URL will take you to the join game page:
http://batracer.com/-cj?&D&38731
Alternatively, you can select "private games" from the menu and enter the number "38731" into the box. The game password is "AtlasF1". Take care not to accidentally join a public game by mistake.

Uh oh. My prophecy hasn't come as close to becoming true as I thought. People aren't touching the MP4-2-No with a wooden bargepole, and what's worse, I've just seen an image of the supposed F1 2009 Car Comparison page on the Batracer Forum...
