ha ha ha!
Hello mate!
I'm afraid I've taken your crash or glory method to heart and just can't shake the habit now!
That winning feeling is addictive.
Though I always prided myself on being consistent, trying to reduce errors. Was happy to finish on the podium if it didn't destroy my drivers champ chances ;)
That BAT7 season we teamed in still haunts me bit . I was leading by 8 points going into the last race and the conditions went from dry to terrible within the first few laps, my rival having problems but pitting for wets while the safety car was out.... ahh, never liked that set.
You must be doing alright for yourself, being an A1 Cup champ and all.

There's also an F1 1986 private game which I've just joined, #36935, which only has four signed up at the moment. Just trying to spread the word round to anyone...

The game that was the nightmare that advanced only every 72 hours that no-one owned has been deleted. So, is there any interest in a private F1-2008 game that will be unmodified and advance every 24 hours?

Players will need to be registered and logged in before they can enter the private game. When logged in, clicking the following URL will take you to the join game page:
http://batracer.com/-cj?&D&37299
Alternatively, you can select "private games" from the menu and enter the number "37299" into the box. The game password is "AtlasF1". Take care not to accidentally join a public game by mistake.

Yes, we are top 2 in clan, BR -- and this obviously means the Clan is well below average, of course.
And you were not advised by the new Clan Leader it seems, so you are forgiven, even though still a motherfuckah cherrypicah from last choices you've made...

With 11 competitors already signed up, we do still need a minimum of three more competitors signed up for this one in the next few hours, otherwise it deletes itself, I think. Again, the password is Gear Box (Edit: Just half an hour now!)

our F1 2008 game needs a few more players so if anyone wants to join please do so, there are still cars that you can win in, Red Bulls, Toro Rossos and if you really good, Hondas. I'll start the game without Force India or Super Aguri if there aren't enough players.
If you cant play, please recommend the game to friends and family.

Won a race in a '86 Lola this weekend - so pleased with myself!

I'm still only fairly new to Batracer and have just qualified a Force India on the second row at Hockenheim (in my first race in it, having replaced a sacked driver mid-season, with the team having scored only 2 points all year thus far), so I'm kinda getting started in that direction, actually.
Well, okay, yes, it is only Academy level anyway. Sheesh. The other day, though, I did notice somebody gloating on the Batracer Forum for having won a wet-weather race in a '97 Lola with astonishing ease...

A few factors could have contributed to that:
- The easiest being they had the characteristic Wet Weather Warrior.
- They took a punt on the rain affecting the race from a 'bone dry' start and had a wet set-up.
http://batracer.com/-ua?20900 (The first GTS race in the link is a perfect example of dumb luck with a wet set-up)
- The Lola car I get the feeling is good in the wet anyway, sort of an incentive in choosing it.
- The Bridgestone wets might be superior to the Goodyears in the 97 set but haven't had the opportunity to try for myself yet.

Crap cars are usually good in the wet (at least in the recent F1 games), I think is a glimmer of hope that Jules has programmed in. Super Aguris can win races when its wet or changeable.

I'm maxed out with my three (public, mid-season, private) right now. It makes me wonder whether using the option to publicise my site on Batracer as a way of gaining KT may be a decent idea. I doubt I'd be able to live with more than three games running at a time, but at least I'd have a tad more flexibility with the numbers of simultaneous private and public games I can toy with.
And yes, I think that Zippel's first and third points at the very least were eventually established on the thread there.

Lol, well I'm rapidly discovering myself the nature of this rat-race scrum which always seems to occur the second entries open in the few public games.

And yes, at least one of each car were all still available, the last time I checked. Oddly enough, I'm trying the Lola right now in a public game, the loveable little runt of a racer that it is.

My team-mate never seems to do any runs, though. I have no idea why he's not enthusiastic, or maybe he's hiding his testing of it from me...

And you're outgunning me in practice in that thing already. Academy title aside, there's worryingly growing evidence that I'm turning into a BATracing Fisichella.
**Wipes sweat off brow on noticing world ranking**
Zippel
Mar 11 2009, 23:28
Practice doesn't mean much, merely luck on a clean lap or two and a chance decent set-up. It takes a bit of time to get up to speed in consistently challenging for titles, knowing what works and what doesn't and realising what to do in some circumstances. Though some games become quite a mystery regardless, my latest BAT7 for example.
But if you become another Fisichella, there is no shame in it. Many of us love it when the teammate is on side.
And my WR won't mean jack when this car keeps breaking down, which I suspect will be the case.
