Hello all!

I'm a long time reader of the forums, and I've finally got myself registered so I can start to contribute.

I will be attending the MotoGP race this year, I'm a long time F1 fan and this will be my first attendance at a live MotoGP event, exciting!

I have a general access ticket, and was just wondering if anyone has been before and has any info, regarding the views I am likely to get with general access, places to head for etc...? From what I've gathered on the internet, general access spectators are herded in one part of the circuit, would that be accurate? That wouldn't be a major problem, just want to be there to take in the atmosphere and get some good photos!

Any info would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

Tabac, I've only been there for F1 tests, but for the MotoGP race there is only one area reserved for general admission, it's on the mountain (well, it's not really a mountain, more like a gentle hill biggrin.gif ) on the north side of the circuit. It's the black section on this map:

The Valencia circuit is like a go-kart track in a stadium, the grandstands are positioned around the outside boundaries of the track and from each grandstand you pretty much have a complete view of the track, as it's such a small track. Not sure what your view would be from the mountain as it's behind the north grandstand, although I guess it would still be OK.

The Spaniards are mad about their motorbikes, and their riders, so expect some crazy atmosphere. Have fun!

That's great, thanks!

I thought that was the arrangement and that it was quite far away, sounds ok though if you can see most of the track; maybe I'll invest in a new camera with some zoom capacity...

Shame you didn't/couldn't go for a pit grandstand seat although they would probably be sold out by now. They are directly above the garages and the pitwall so right where the action is, while giving a perfect view of the whole track.

Also, the back walkway to those grandstands looks out over the paddock, giving you a close up view of what's going on behind the garages and near the motorhomes and see the riders come and go.

Although it can get *very* crowded in those walkways, I was nearly pushed off the balcony in the rush when Rossi walked towards the Ferrari garages during his F1 test eek.gif
