Alguersuari won today the british F3 clap.gif, the youngest winner in british F3 history, and he made it the year of his debut. The next spanish F1 WDC?

PS: I don`t know if there is some thread for the young drivers, so I posted here.

He was superb today, especially in the second race - he just blew them into the weeds and drove off. Fantastic driving. up.gif

He looked bloody pleased when he went past us on his slow down lap!! lol.gif

The good thing Alguersuari is part of Red Bull program. If Ammermueller and Buemi could rise to the top, I see no obstacles for Alguersuari.

The bad thing - he looks like a girl.

You have to listen him, he´s such an intelligent man, he knows what he wants and how to achieve it, he´ll be a top driver in F1 in the future, for sure.

lol.gif up.gif Yeah, when I saw that photo I instantly thought, 'Blue Steel!'

OTOH, this is only F3, and British F3 at that. Jaime will definitely be one to watch out for, make no mistake though. How many F1 champions will Spain get, before it gets its hands on another MotoGP title, a sport they actually care about? lol.gif

I hope it will not take so long as for the british wink.gif

That's not quite the accurate story mate.

Jaime got away because Perez held up Hartley then about six cars after the start.

Once Hartley got in clear air he was the fastest man on track by four tenths in race two, before his wheel came loose.

I think Aguisueri is a good driver but needs to control his temper. He was pretty rattled in race one.

Isn't Algersuari's dad involved in running the World Series by Renault? Could be his next step.

He looks to have quite a bit of cash behind him. Sponsors include Red Bull, Repsol and something which looks like a driving school at Circuit de Catalunya. He does look super serious too.

Catalunya's circuit has started a Young Drivers Program with the goal of finding an F1 driver.

Ah, I see. I saw the badge on his overalls and did wonder.

I think he could be a potential champion. He's very quick and from the looks of it very serious.

Good luck to him. Will Red Bull put him in GP2 next year?

At least he was when the series were called "Open Nissan" (and other similar names) as he was RPM Racing's (the company that runs the championship) president.

At the moment I'm not 100% sure if Jaime Alguersuari Senior is still there, but I doubt that a British F3 Champion, with Red Bull support, won't find a seat at GP2 next year and instead will go to WSR.

I saw him at the weekend at Donington and he had all of those sponsors I mentioned on his car.
