OK I am feeling poll-y too
So who is the driver with the stupidest mistake this race.
Was it Hamilton divebombing turn 1, his Kimi-hitting teammate Kova, Massa with the totally unnecessary tap on hammy, Bourdais for getting in the way of Felipe, Piquet for spinning on his own or Kimi for failing to pass Kubica?
I think it's a close call between Hamilton and Massa but I chose Felipe because I expect better from Ferrari drivers.

Massa.
Hamilton's move was wrong, but essentially more stupid than malicious.
I don't think Kova's sweep was intentional, he just followed the boss.
Massa's move on Lewis was just plain dirty, and should have been punished much more severely (10 seconds stop&go at least).
Webber was another candidate for steering dangerously to his right when Massa had already committed himself.

I understood it. I just didn't think there was a stupid mistake made today by drivers. There were lots of racing incidents.
If I HAD to vote for stupid, it would be Massa. But I don't think he was being stupid I think he was fighting for the championship. Hamilton didn't need to expose himself like that. He opened the door for Massa's red mist to waft in. Break out the Febreze.
Plus I'm trying to be a little cheeky.

I agree the worst thing was Massa's punt on Hamilton, but an understandable mistake given who it was.

Certainly not!
Have a look at some of my other posts
For sure Hamilton.
He is the one who has seven point lead before the race, and must think that he just need to finish infront of Felipe Massa during the race, not winning the race just finish infront, but once again his COJONES beat his brain.
Now Hamilton a very difficult situation, just five point lead and Ferrari looks better then McLaren for the next two races.

Im starting to wonder if the FIA is lewis biased?
1. crashed into alonso malaysia.
2. blocks drivers in qualifying.
3. cuts track in magny cours.
4. ignores red lights and crashes into kimi.
5. cuts track at spa
6. several bad moves at monza
7. forces kimi off the road and denys him the win today.
Then says: oh, ill just move on to next week.
This guy doesnt learn!! He doesnt abide the rules at all. Why doesnt he get at least a one race ban orso?
He is the d*** of the year for me.

Its a travesty lewis keeps piling up more penalties but takes not one consideration to adhere them. The FIA should ban him or take away his superlicense and let him drive in gp2 again. Its ridiculous the amount of FIA biased decisions towards lewis. If this was shumi, hed get a 2 race ban at least. If this was irvine hed get a 2 race ban at least.

Massa.
Not just for his punting Hamilton off on track ( supposedly the driver behind and off the racing line is supposed to tuck in behind the one in front and on the racing line, as everybody seemed to insist Hamilton should have done at Spa instead of avoiding the collision by cutting the chicane. So Massa decides to use the chicane to launch himself into the side of the McLaren????)
Mostly for his classless lies while trying to excuse his driving - Hamilton braked too late ( lie. Hamilton took the entry apex fine, Massa just outfumbled himself under braking) Hamilton pushed me off track ( lie. Hamilton left plenty of room for Massa to do what Massa said Hamilton should have done at Spa) and Bourdais hit him from behind ( lie - Massa turned into him)
Put the driving and his mouth together and he gets my d!ck o' the day vote.

Yeah because the 4 penalties Lewis has had this year means they are soooooooooo biased
They can't take away someone's superlicense for making a couple of silly errors!

a couple of sily errors okay, but twice cuttinga track? A triple attempt crashing into others? What if Ferrari would fit a V12 6 liter quatro turbo engine each and every race and they would just get fined? That is what happens with lewis. He just dont care. He dont care at all if his championship bid is lost. But he ruins races for others and breaks rules whilst doing that. That the FIA is so lenient is beyond my comprehension. its like giving just a fine to a murderer.

I dont see either the polesitter or the man behind outbraking one another to the point they both are forced off the track.
There where also different rules back then as DC wouldv surely get a 10 place grid penalty for what he did to shumi.
Anyway, your trying to compare apples with pears. Lewis move costed kimi teh win. Lewis got penalised. Good. fantastic. Im happy. They could have gone for a more heavier penalty but swa. Im sure if Lewis keeps up this ''racer mentality' he will be dealt with acordingly.

Oh, I see, it only applies to the polesitter and the man behind him. Is this a new mega mega clarification?
Although I note the chap behind the polesitter happened to force a car wide. Just so happened that the chap behind the polesitter was in a Ferrari, I'm sure that was irrelevant.

I can understand your disapointed lewis could not deliber on his ''im matured'' speech last week but he did cause kimi to lose the race. And no matter how many examples and instances you try to bring up, this is 2008. The rules are much more stringent and lewis penalty was as just as all the others this year. He made a few more hard moves last year and got away with it. And if the FIA would follow criminal law, the next punishment will be much, much more hard than any drive through penalty. He does not want to listen. He doesnt care. Hes not remorsefull. Hes becoming a menace.

He did nothing that half-a-dozen other drivers did not do three races ago. None of them was penalized. No-one was calling them "menaces". No-one has been able to come up with a single instance of anyone being penalized in the same way in the entire history of the universe.
Yet again this is a brand new rule that was invented by the liars at the FIA with the sole aim of penalizing Lewis Hamilton. Even you yourself say it was "different" a MONTH ago.

The feeling is mutual sir

Its amazing how many threads of crying lewis fans are allowed to pollute the board. Am trying to slightly raise the topic that its fantastic that alonso wins but no, we must have 17 polls on how bad the penalty for lewis was and how good for massa and another 9 to glorify lewis even more.
