Hi Guys
Now the season is almost over what do you think is the best looking car? Not interested in performance purely aesthetics.
Personally I think the BMW F1.08 looks the best, dunno why...
PS (Look it is possible to start an NON Lewis Hamilton Tread Unbelievable Huh)

Besides Honda with green lines in tyres...
McLaren.

Hard to say.
Are we talking the basic shape or livery.
E.g. I like the BMW livery, but think the basic shape is awful. Same thing with Honda, just the other way round. So do I vote for one of them, or a third option that is 'meh' in both areas?
(the above are examples and not a reflection of my 'true' leaings

)

Ferrari
The colour, basic shape makes it most beautiful for me. I'm glad they don't have the wings white anymore, it more beautiul this way with red wings.
The black wings was ok also (pre-2000 I think)

There is always someone who has to be difficult ;)
Whole package, hence Torro Rosso and Red Bull both being listed...
PS, it is a good point.

Good point, my estimation was just based on basic livery colours - not symbols, text. Rules limits bodywork itself so I didn't chose my favourite by that reason.
I like colours used nicely in first place. I dislike very much white colour shapes on sport cars because it simply reminds me about white empty A4 paper sheet - it misses something to become something!
Also one colour shapes are big no no, unless they are - Henry Ford style - black.

It looks like some kind of viscious deep sea fish covered in sharp pointy features that forces mother nature to do its bidding rather then trying to tease the air smoothly around it like others.
And it is white which is the best colour for any kind of car in my opinion for a clean look.
Who voted Renault?

None of the cars look very nice IMO, but Williams have the best livery.

Long and slender like a zexy woman...
Not so much the F2001. It had a crooked noze, like Kubica noze.

If it wasn't for the livery I'd vote renault, love the low, chunky, chuckable look of the front end.
Voted BMW though, its a work of art

Toyota just don't have fans do they?
lol @ LB, aparently not!
McLaren. Neck and shoulders. Sorry, the Ferrari looks good, but the Mac is just a piece of art.

Am I the only one that DIDN'T vote after team allegiance?

I know I support Williams so I am biased, but I really do believe it is the best looking, its sleek smooth and has a nice livery.
Other than that, well, hmmm, Mclaren then BMW am not a fan of the nose on Ferrari, though if they returned to black wings and colour a la 95, they would definitely move up!

Voted Red Bull, I don't know why, but the pin-striping and yellow airbox seem to suit it, and it looks less cluttered than some (especially the BMW). Saying that, all the current cars are bloody ugly with their chimney's, winglets, and twiglets, roll on the 2009 'uncluttered' cars........ (fingers crossed they'll look similar to the 1995-96 cars - all beautiful!).

Agree. The shapes and attention to detail looked really nice, which is saying a lot given how ugly this generation of cars usually are.
For livery though, I like the red bull with the pin striping and the dark blue.

I looked at the graph and Ferrari was one behind, so I thought I'd tie it up.

I like the way the Ferrari looks, especially the darker red, but I just don't like the word Alice splattered across it and the bar code in the back.

I remember a poll like this just after all the car launches had happened. I think Williams won then, what exactly has changed in the meantime?

Its close between the Mclaren, BMW and Williams for me. Mclaren just edges it.
The moustache wing ruins the ferrari for me. Spoils the nose.

Funny thing: looking at the results, the question may have been: "What is your favourite team?"
You'd get the same result! I know fanboyism when it spits in my face!!

Well, even as a McLaren fan I actually instinctively voted for the Ferrari. As with the (F2004-inspired, I believe?) A1GP car, both shape and livery come across as the most relatively profound and 'clean' to me. The return of the darker red certainly also wins my vote.
However, I would say the McLaren was a close second. Aided by Hamilton's achievements, both the chrome/Vodafone livery and general, satisfying swoopy appearance are fast becoming as iconic in the 2000s as the Rothmans Williams Renaults in the 1990s, if you ask me.
I do hope I'd be one of decent visual taste, though, given that I am a passionate artist...

Conversely it could just be that people support those teams because of the livery ;)
Polls mean nothing anyway according to some in the Seabass thread. Even when its a landslide.

It was pretty clear win for the Ferrari IMO with that beautiful cherry red. Glad they got rid of the Schumacher orange.
And then came Singapore.
And the lights.
And the McLaren bling.
I still voted Williams purely out of loyalty (and it's a good look anyway), but even loyalty couldn't save Renault or Toyota.

Couldn't say it better, Toyota and especially Renault look like shit imho.
Williams and Red bull liveries are most beautiful, Ferrari's silhouette is

The Red Bull is quite pretty, nice livery too.
Can't decide a winner, but on the other end nothing tops (or is that "downs"?) Renault. The shark fin, which makes every car look worse, is only the icing on the cake (or the puke on the pile of shit)...
If someone would photoshop every car in black, I'm sure we would get quite different results...

McLaren. The bar code does the Ferrari no justice...
