Hamilton will take it easy and settle for 3rd.

Ferrari will lead 1-2 till lap 70, on which the order will be: Raikkonen, Massa, Hamilton, Alonso, Kubica, Kovalainen. All the rest one lap down.

Hamilton's engine explodes in the last lap just as Raikkonen takes the flag. Therefore he falls to 6th (because the others are lapped, he cannot fall more than that) but Massa loses the championship because Raikkonen had crossed the line just as Hamilton retired. roflmao.gif

Now THAT would be amazing and the only thing which can beat last year's crazy final race.

If he doesn't move over for the points, he'll do it for the home crowd.
I don't think Kimi will give up a win just for Massa to win his home GP. Not unless it benefits the WDC.

If it rains, Vettel will take it cool.gif

Massa will have a desastrous race, Hamilton will make sure he gains enough points to clinch the title.

Stron performances from Glock, Alonso and Bourdais. And Sutil will score a point biggrin.gif

At first I was thinking a clean sweep for Ferrari but...

Temperatures were much hotter last year and this year there is the chance of showers plus much cooler temperatures and the tyres are 1 step harder so with that in mind.

There is no way Ferrari will have the advantage they did last year. These conditions favour McLaren practically every way possible

1. Hamilton
2. Massa
3. Raikkonen
4. Kovalainen
5. Alonso
6. Kubica
7. Heidfeld
8. Vettel

Why not?
Would he give up a 3rd to get Massa on podium for his home crowd? Any position?
If the WCC remains in tact.

Because it sticks another figure in the win column in his record. It's possible, but I don't see any racing driver racing for second myself.

Kovalainen will make the biggest mistake in his short career and crash with Hamilton at the start taking him out of the race.. cool.gif

Why is Montoya and others worried that Massa will crash into Hamilton. Its pretty difficult to take someone out of the race whilst ensuring you go on to finish! The likelyhood is that Hamilton would 'let' the accident happen.

If that happens, Massa will be giving Hamilton the title as he has less points.

Ferrim, THAT is priceless. A little more than a subtle irony there, but it would for sure be an explosion of a WDC final, not just an explosion of Hamilton's engine.

Ferrari would eat themselves alive if such a vision materializes. roflmao.gif

Same for me here, the one who should worry about a crash is Massa, and not Hamilton.

Imagine Ron's face in such a case. Also imagine how Haug would be at odds to explain the whole thing.... roflmao.gif

Because of the practice he undertook in Japan?

I'll say

Hamilton
Alonso
Kubica
Bourdais
Massa
Rakka
Vettel
Glock

It will rain.

Hamilton, Alonso, Kubica, and Bourdais will have zero spins/offs.
Masa, Rakka, Vettel, & Glock 1-2 each

Many dnfs.

Heikki will crash Massa out first corner.

Kimi 1st Hamilton 2nd Alonso 3rd

Lewis WDC
potmotr
Kimi will have one of his 'on' weekends and dominate proceedings.

Lewis will start second.

Kimi will try and back the field up behind him to let Massa get close to Lewis.

Massa will be hit by any of the regular crashers like Rosberg/Nakajima/Vettel/Bourdais.

Game over, match Lewis.

Well Ferrari usually has a much better pace in Interlagos, as McLaren is being faster in China in recent times.

So I guess Massa will win this one followed by Raikkonen, if they finally get things together.

I think LH will become WDC this time, it is unlikely that the same thing happens twice. It is so easy for him to win now, but we have to say it: this season everyone has been very irregular with lots of ups and downs, and that applies to LH as well so nothing is sure. Last year he was much more consistent until the last two races.

My guess:

1. Massa.
2. Raikkonen.
3. Hamilton.
4. Alonso.
5. Kovalainen.
6. Heidfeld (one stopper).
7. Vettel

With rain now being very likely for Sunday, my new prediction is for Hamilton to mess up during the race causing a DNF, and for Massa to have a spin or two and end up out of the podium. Hamilton becomes champion.

Alonso to win the race followed by Webber then Vettel.

That is the most sensible post i have read in the whole thread. It is really sad when people wish for drivers to crash even some spanish idiots going as far as using voodoo like websites down.gif Just crazy.

Thanks for the recognition jesse.
It's a bitter turn this world has taken and endemic in most societies these days.
Not to mention the so called "race fans" here

Agreed.

I also think my prediction of pole to chequered flag is stronger (in my mind) with the impending forecast). If it rains both days...if will be a double strength borefest with just backmarker offs into the kitty litter.

there's no way Hamilton can finish with all those hedgehogs, drawing pins and nails on the track!

To be honest this is probably McLarens biggest worry they are really going to need to find a setup that won't wear their tyres as fast while keeping enough speed for Hamilton to finish at least 5th
Bob Nomates
I'd go full wets then and pray for rain ;)

Hammy must qualify light to ensure that he gets a pole. This is the best way to avoid problems in race.

However, if he doesn't get pole, the game is on and it will be interesting to see how Lewis copes and has he really matured from last season. And remember this is motor racing, anything could happen, a safety car at odd moment which could turn around the whole pack or rain, or just reliability issues.

I think Massa clicks better with Interlagos and will win it not needing team orders. This if Ferrari has a small edge as we expect, of course.

Another reason he and Hammo don't deserve it. As Micheal Doohan (5 time World Motorcycle Champion)said, "if you can go faster at your home track what have you been doing for the rest of the year?" he also said "if you can go faster at your home track you have been cheating your team at the other tracks"

I note that MS and Doohan have no better results at their respective home GP's than elsewhere.

I don't think it's a case of "Hey look! It's my home track! I better try to be faster then!".

Some drivers happen to click better with certain tracks that are nowhere near home, and not click with certain tracks. Example: Alonso is awesome everywhere except at Indianapolis where he sucked. Kimi doesn't seem to be very comfortable with Bahrain, but kicks major ass at Spa.

As for doing well at home, it might a case of confidence. You know the track well because you've raced tons of laps there, watched tons of laps there, and just go into the corners with less anxiety. Then the result turns out to be better.

Football teams have a big tendency to perform better at home than away.

I guess I was VERY much mistaken!!!

There was something which could even beat that scenario. And it happened today LOL roflmao.gif

You gave me thrills with THAT scenario, Ferrim, but reality transcended all fiction.
Unbelievable. My own prediction was also a bit off the mark.

Bah, I told you at the top of this page .

Max phoned Toyota halfway during the last lap and instructed them to slow Glock down.

What a fix...
