Michael Aikey
Hello All,

I recently acquired two real photo postcards from the 1966 LeMans. Each postcard has several autographs on the reverse. I suspect most or all of the autographs are of Ferarri drivers or team members as the previous owner was a Ferrari fan and the two autographs I have identified are Ferrari pilots. Both cars were entered by Jacques Swaters. I am having difficulty identifying most of the autographs and would like some assistance.

I have identified the vertical signature on the Ferrari 250 photo as Jacky Ickx and the bottom one as Eric de Keyn.

I cannot identify any of the three autographs on the Ferrari 365 postcard.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards,

Michael

Hello Michael,

I try to help you...

In the first photo I think for the higher autograph : Claude DUBOIS
The second is surely : Gustave GOSSELIN
You find Eric de KEYN and Jacky ICKX

For the second photo, I'm sure that the higher is from Pierre NOBLET I've got the same in my files.
Maybe for the left : "BEURLYS" but I'n not sure...
And the last probably Georges FILIPINETTI but with no conviction...

If someone have more than me...

Regards

Hello Haine,

Thank you for identifying several of the autographs. Dubois, Gosselin and Noblet make sense with the Jacques Swaters connection. Your guesses on the "Beurlys" (Jean Blaton) and Georges Filipinetti signatures are probably good also. Let's see if someone else can nail down "Beurlys" and Filipinetti.

I particularly like the Ickx signature as it is a relatively early one and different from my later Ickx autographs.

Regards,

Michael
