Hi there,

for a little project[1] I am looking for calendars with all major events from the 60s and 70s. What I am ideally looking for is one compiled calendar, so that I don't have to gather all the different calendars and put them into one.

Does anybody know if something like that already exists on the web? If not, does anybody know a good calendar for open wheel and sports car events from these times, so that I can compile one on my own?

Thanks a lot in advance!

The FIA year book -the Yellow book- was published every year from 1968 onwards and it contains a calendar of all the events in the world each year which are either International or National with authorised foreign participation.
Before that the list was published in the National Yearbooks of the FIA affiliated countires.
Demonstrably these are all the major events.
It would be a very simple operation to copy out these lists onto some form of calendar.

Usually specifc information is needed by individuals and in the course of my work I tend to provide it on a one off basis.
I know that some ASN do this and asume that other individuals do

Caution is needed with the Yellow Book lists. Inevitably some events in the calendars were cancelled: others were postponed to later dates, some occasionally changed circuits and even event names could change. And in the early years of the Yellow Book it wasn't as complete as it might have been regarding National and National Open meetings.

And of course events like the Brands Hatch "Victory Races" weren't initially in the calendar at all .....
