the itv.com feed is fine, but 20 minutes in Heidfeld is apparently the only one to set a time - 8mins 16.521 seconds, presumably he ran round to set that time........................................

Any other live timing sites??? Good way for FOM to go out at season end. You would think with the millions they make they could work out a reliable live timing system...

Yep, as was planned to happen by FOM. Coulthard already had it in FP1 at Fuji I believe, although then they didn't broadcast it.

Ferrari and Mclaren are looking quite close, will make a great final race to the season.

Massa finally beats Lewis' time and it's by two tenths! Can Lewis respond? Kimi is very close too but Kovaleinen is 0.5s away from the pace :/
Drivers doing practice starts from grid slots - believe Lewis painted some lines from the pole slot...

yeah, especially for me and my crap PC. The animated ads are very intensive.
Hey did you see Massa give the "hang loose" sign to Barichello from the side-on camera?

Hammy had put in his fastest laps quite easy and early. It took several laps for massa to come near.

that bbc link now says massa fastest...
massa did his time when it was maybe damper, so maybe hes decently quicker, before then it was mega close between lewis, massa, kimi, then .4~ or so to heikki
Massa appeared to lack the McLaren's first lap pace, but edged ever closer - narrowing Hamilton's advantage first to 0.193 seconds, then 0.062, 0.047 and eventually 0.014 seconds.
With the light but persistent spots of rain starting to make the track treacherous, it looked like Massa might have to settle for a tantalisingly close second place, but the Brazilian then threw in a 1:12.305 on his final run to beat Hamilton by nearly two tenths of a second.
The Briton was unable to respond, locking his brakes and flat-spotting a tyre on his next flying lap.
Can't help but love the last sentence.

BBC obviously had a pre-prepped page and didnt foresee Massas late flyer in time. Fanboyism? Hardly.
Equality - either way you should replace 'McLaren' with 'Lewis' as Ferrari seemed the fastest car in that session.

People thinking the BBC will be better than the ITV lovefest will be proved wrong next year. The BBC are a corporation with no backbone, even less so that ITV.
As for FP1, it looks good for Hamilton even though ferrari seem faster at this point. All he has to do is finish behind them and he is WDC.

Yeah, youd expect that kind of nonsense at ITV, not at BBC where they pride themselves in having such high standards. Then again with Brand and Ross...
Anyway it was nice to see cars lapping the Brasil track again.
