The phrase "it's racing" should never be used in the same context as of people crashing on purpose. It's completely against the spirit of racing.

Not turn one, but I'd not seen this very nasty crash for Oliver Panis in 1998 before either...

Amazing how many of those were caused by either suspension failure or wing failure

I think that Kovalainen will hold the inside of alonso while Ham attempts to dragrace Kimi, if he fails at that, Kova will ease of the throttle to let Ham slot in nicely behind Kimi on fourth, with the only real threat on sixth, behind a teammate and with a very long outside line to defeat..
IMHO only foul-play or mech. trouble will prevent this scenario from unfolding.

For all the excitement of the championship battle, last year's race was quite dull, apart from Hamilton trying to defy an iffy strategy to charge through the field the only real racing I remember was Rosberg v Kubica late on. As you say, quite an occasion, but it might be anti-climactic.

Is this the first time Ensign's fears proved unfounded??? lol.gif
