Incredible end to the championship, great stuff. I don't believe it could be put any more succinctly than Ensign 14 has already done. What I couldn't understand given the circumstances, was switching on the final Superbike race this morning and seeing Michael walking through the paddock.

I guess Schumacher just has more sense than the rest of us F1 fans. lol.gif

In Monza he was asked if he is going to attend another race and he said that was the last race he attended this season. So he wasn't scheduled to go, regardless of the circumstances.

He was invited for the debut of the Algarve circuit hosting the finale of the Superbike championship. He will also be testing there tomorrow, as well as attending some promotional events.

Having said that, it's a little bit strange that he probably didn't even watch the brazilian grandprix on the TV.

I'm a sure he's seen it...

As Hamilton says. Schumacher is now a nobody.

I agree. Much as I admire him, he is old news now at Ferrari and needs to move one. This idea of him being a special adviser is a bit daft I think. The odd bit of testing maybe is OK but it will quickly be less valuable due to him being out of touch with racing.

Really, so who was that in China then? I know I've got a fairly vivid imagination but it's not that wild.

He wasn't there in China. He was in Kerpen that day attending a kart race:

A nobody who still keep all F1 records but (not important) 1.

If Michael traveled to alot of these races, he might as well still be racing.

Also the type of guy Michael is, he knows Brazil belongs to Massa/Kimi and the team. His own presense wouldn't of added much to what the team/drivers were going to do anyway, however when Michael tested the slick tyres ferrari in winter 2008, that had a function for 2009, he's raced on those before.

I don't think Michael was at Brazil last year either. But the main thing is, he's retired, if he showed up at too many gps, he might as well be racing, but some euro rounds suite him.

Good point.

Someone commented earlier that "he needs to move on" - seems to me that he has moved on and its the rest of us that seem to keep bringing him back into the equation.

I only saw part of his BBC interview, but in that he said that he very much liked that he no longer has to leave his family for flyaway races. Probably a reason in there somewhere.
