The best pilot ever, great job!

It's a great achievement but so hard to appreciate with the current level of competition in WRC.

Loeb is a definite great though.

Hes been very good but the new system with the championship leader running first on day one really screwed over Hirvonen during the middle part of the season.

You can tell how bad WRC is right now by the amount of ppl answering this thread

it was a fors fia trick to keep away loeb, but it doesn't work, the fordirs used it alot this year!

Loeb won against the greatest, even Makinen mc cray etc..

I dont think it worked if they did it to stop Loeb because it was Hirvonen that had to sweep the roads for most of the dirt races....

Very true, and a real shame
For pure action, balls out skill and bravery, WRC has every other form of motorsport beaten. It's such a shame that it hasn't been given the time and attention it deserves to develop it to the level it should be.

That said, and as much as it pains me to say it being a fan of the Finns, Loeb is one of the greats, lets not forget he's trounced the likes of Sainz and McCrae in the same machinary, granted they were coming to the end of their WRC carrers but Loeb was only really the new boy at the time.

Yeap, the man's the best out there.
What will it take to stop him?

Only if the Focus, Impreza - highly unlikely or the SX4 - implausible , is significantly superior to the C4 or if Loeb swaps luck with Petter and has three engine failure in a row followed by a gearbox going kaput, then an electronics shut-down, then a dud turbo, then a flat tyre, then a rock in the road, then hits a moose etc, would Loeb be beaten.

I'd barely noticed actually, thanks to all the Lewisteria going on.

Great achievement. I don't think the WRC is what it once was in terms of top drivers but hats off, five in a row is no mean feat.
