Ok, Just to confirm, I am in GMT and it is currently 10:12.
So if it does start at 11AM GMT - it doesn't start for another 48 minutes.
Pics are a good hour and 48 minutes away if posted at 12AM
yes, i think too

"Images, from the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-24 launch, will be available from 11am (GMT) on Friday 16th January" says the McLaren site
so it's 12:00 CET,

Is this gonna be another internet launch? ...or will actually have a spin off of the new car in the track?
Link to site?
It's stupid, we're all waiting for this stupid car release, we'll look at a few pictures and say 'cool' then wait for the next release.
We don't even 'get' anything.

We're all waiting hoping these few pictures will be radical and beautiful. When they're not we move onto the next launch date like a plague.

they must have started at 11cet
Sidepods look a little taller than we've seen before, air intake above drivers head looks tiny.
[edit]: maybe 'much taller' was an exageration

It´s just one pic
Besides it doesn´t matter how it looks...it has to be fast

Oh... third online countdown and third server overload :\.
From the VERY little we can see in there, looks shorter and wider (fatter? ..nah), I kinda like it.
From that side it's way too bulky for my liking...
Looks like a spacecraft.

How many years has it been since a team last had their car number on the rear wing as well?

interesting exhausts
Inventive cooling vents just before the rear wheels.
Air intake above the cockpit is very small from the looks of it.

Nice touch putting a shopping basket on the rear wing. Somewhere to keep all Lewis' medals perhaps?

The whole air intake and engine cover is very small
Sadly, It looks pretty ugly, might change my mind when we get the proper photos from the typical angles on white background.

I think we've got the smallest 2009 car launched thus far.

I can't see it very well, but it seems like the "Santander" above the engine-air-inlet is a little deformed. Could it be an oval inlet, Fw13-style (horizontal dimension wider than vertical)?

while ferrari and toyota both have tried to push weight forward making the rear longer, it doesnt seem like mclaren has choosen the same route, and like someone mentioned, the wheelbase seems shorter,
yes ...very short, in fact the ferrari is the only long one so far, toyota and macca going for shorter bulkier designs ...i like the fact of having such different cars on the grid.

Sidepods don't look as sculpted as the ferrari and toyota.
