I think it looks great. It's fat, and doesn't look like the nose will break off so easily like the Ferrari.
Doesn't look small. Actually looks just as long, if not a little longer than the Ferrari when I compare the two.
The airbox looks tiny.

Autosport has some hi res images.
Exhausts very far back.
Look to have a very small wheelbase.
very thin engine cover and airbox inlet.
no pod wings like the f60 but probably will be added before march.

Wow those sidepod inlets are tiny, very minimalistic design. It actually looks alot better than the others in that pic.

santander is really smaller as time passes.
It's like an F1 car, only smaller.
I quite like it actually, I think the angle they revealed it at was unfortunate.

Side on it looks way bulkier than the TF109 or F60.

Frankly I didn't find any McLaren since 1993 beautiful... but this one seems SciFi!!!

The chassis being displayed is the second one, the first is already in Portugal.
No sidepod winglets:

look at the birds eye view pic, and look at the sidepod inlets, larger wings going down to the floor.

i thought the front wings had to be two plane only, the Macca has 3 to the Ferrari and Toyota's 2

The best looking 2009 car so far, I like the front nose and engine cover. Nice looking front wing as well.
the lower base of the front wing doesnt looks very wide, almost like a small base just to hold the moveable wings ont he sides.

Looks to be the fattest so far behind the sidepods/around the exhaust area.

I concur. It still looks a little weird, but it's the best of the three so far.

Wait wait wait... let' see it on track first.
The photo's on the front page of this site are very poor, side view only. :\
Are they taking it for a spin today? or do we have to wait until Algrave?

Interesting how bulky the new Mclaren looks. And I don't understand why they have such a small air intake above the driver's head? The point of the airbox is to ram more air into the engine and get better performance out of it...

The size is important but not as important as an optimized airflow inside the airbox.
Btw looking at the side pic, the car has a bigger nose compared to Kubica.

There is a 99.9% chance it'll look better on track than the Ferrari, the front wing looks ten times better than Ferrari's solution if you ask me. That's what really let it down - that fragile-looking front wing.

Yeah, well spotted. I wonder if this suspension angle is really that solid. It looks structurally weak and also more difficult to set up, but that's just my amateur opinion...

Looks fair enough from the limited shots we've had so far. All three cars to date have really been helped by looking very clean, thanks to the new regs. The McLaren almost has an organic look to it in places... around the air box and exhausts for instance.
Best of all is that #1 painted on it though!
They hide the exhaust pipe with a chassis element:) Why?

Bit early to judge...
Still 2 months or so until Melbourne, things will change until then

Doesnt look like there is a sidepod cooling outlet at the rear!!!!!!!

The car looks great in profile from the beginning of the exhaust outlet to the end of the rear wing. I prefer the more elegant sculpted look of the Ferrari sidepods and think the long sleek Ferrari nose looks much better.

Best of all would be a #1 on the MP4-25 - but that's another story.
You're absolutely right on the organic look, though. Expecially the exhausts and the sidepods (tiny inlets too) look great. I am not that convinced of the nosecone, but who cares.

it looks way fatter in the rear than the ferrari
The whole car looks much more basic than the Ferrari.
I wonder if they've gone for: 'ok, we've got a tall rear wing, lets not sculpt the sidepods, lets just let the air go over the top of them to the rear wing', hence the slight upward turn the exhaust exit takes at the rear of the sidepod.
It's an inch or two taller than the ferrari at the front wheels, infact, its quite bulky and simple all over the place.
I think they've gone for aero security rather than anything risky.
