I sincerely hope Mclaren can produce a dog of a car next year for Shammy.
I used to like this guy, but with all the arrogance hes showed since coming into f1 has changed my mind.
And im not even an Alonso fan, or a Felipe fan. Im just fed up with this guy.
Do you have any backup plans in case Mclaren produce one of the quickest cars on the grid?
Wasn't that the prediction last year? That after Spygate, having to change car parts etc.. they'd have a dog of a car in 2008 and might start a downward spiral that would result in Hamilton never winning the title?

In a way, this is a very nice tribute to hamiton. If he didnt believe in lewis, hed never wanted a dog of a car but simply state even with a very fast car, lewis wil bin it, just as he almost did yesterday

Nah, 08 cars were very much continuations of last years. I think 09 will really show who was smart by switching designs early.
I think the OP was just trying out if the McLaren/Lewis supporters have gotten any less sensitive now that Lewis has the first title under his belt.
Predictably not, and in any case it's still too early for that experiment to produce valid results.
Let it all settle and then try again in decembre...

I have no doubt he is a great driver. Im just sick of him. The finger he gave to Alonso at the press con last year, The showing up to the camera to make himself look like he was friends with Kimi.
Just a load of toss. You wont find any other driver in f1 doing this sort of shit.

I think the rules changes for next year will reward the team with most technical depth.
So you'd have to say, McLaren and Ferrari will probably both produce strong cars.
I'd predict another season of the status quo, with Lewis near the front.
The midfield may be a little jumbled up.

I'm a Raikkonen fan, but I wouldn't mind Ferrari dropping back a bit on 2009. They've been there for too many seasons, winning races every single year since 1994, championship contenders every single year since 1997 (except 2005). Time to see someone new winning.
Then McLaren could fall back a bit as well, and we'd have a chance for BMW.

Because it amuses me to see the bad losers fulfill their reputation.
You seem to be a little frustrated too Ross, what's wrong? You wanted Massa to win?

Fixed
I can't stand Ron Dennis or Lewis Hamilton - It's such a British lovefest, but worse than that, it's very much media managed to a level that makes me uncomfortable. The Only way I could possibly think about supporting Mclaren is if Vettel were to join them.
Secondly, I think Ferrari will not contend the title next year, I'm aware thats a very very strong statement. But lets be honest, the KERS is behind schedule and there's lots of aero changes that ferrari were always good at.
We could see McLaren dominance for a few years.
