still feel it was just a lucky last sector where I litterly flow over the curves in the last corner to get 1,3 sec of my time. Lol. I had the silverstone settings and as wrote a page before: I used grip on 18 and brake on 34 and wings: 79-74 no clue what is the best....

what were yours? still would be no where without your settinghelp!

Your about right with your brake bias but I found better times with lower wing settings I think about 22 rear 30 front but Colin has blown my lap times away and is running wings about mid so tomorrow I'll try wings around 40 rear and 50 front.
Soft suspension around 30 to 35, oversteer around 70 to 80.

Just tried some and the low downforce isn't working for me, something between 70-80 for me. I also noticed that if you change some settings like wings and grip level > it automaticlly changes other settings, it seems wings and grip level are connected

Did a 15 lap stint and could improve only a bit to 1:40.626 but discovered in the last rnds that I can get some time off in a few corners so I hope to get the magic 1:39 tomorrow.

So, if I trie a lap in Q3 with low fuel, does it make a real difference to lapping in time trial?

Guys I've a kart race today but I will get the settings up later today, btw the inspiration for them came from comments by Andrew Shovlin in Jensons book :-p

No I'm afraid not there two different parts of the game. For some reason codemasters created time trial to be performed with full tanks. But in the races the fuel is variable depending where you set your pitstops, practise sessions and Q1 and Q2 are performed with near empty tanks but you can stay out on track for as long as you like you won't run out of fuel. IMO the best shot at lap records is during practise sessions before a race. I would also say that although there is fuel in the car during Q3 my lap times and car handling would say the car behaves as though there isn't any fuel.

Well all with Brawn basically, but i think i've found the answer to whether they are the same, the mclaren was 1.5 seconds slower on monza when i attempted it :/

No seriously, congrats mate! Did drove it in timetrail? I drove 95% of my fastest laps in timetrail and will try some tonight in quali to see how it goes with less fuel, so the other cars better go out of the way when I run my flying lap. I saw a guy do a 1:07 on Sao Paulo so we still can improve.

Btw can you make a screenshot of all your fastest laps and show it here? Because you would be one of the fastest Wii 2009 guys I know.

thanks, interlagos was actually one i had to do set-up on, i'll put it up tomorow it took ages too beat that time, made a great set-up for S1 and S2 but couldnt keep up the speed up the hill, eventually i pulled enough of a gap in 1 and 2 to get up the hill without losing all the time

I'd like to see pics due to self admittance that set up had minimal tinkering but possibly that's the way to go we'll soon see, btw this ain't sour grapes just a bit of surprise & intrigue to how

i doubt i'll get the spa time, 0.5 seconds off, need set up work for that and i really cant do it. and its okay, im not worried about sour grapes, i'd probably think i was lying if i was in your shoes. i just seem to have a natural feel for braking points and stuff and can very quickly get up to speed on a track, thats how i got the monaco one in one lap i guess

pictures will be up tomoro and set-up for interlagos, becoz as i sed, i did do some for brazil, but only the basic stuff tbh, i never touch the gears, tyre pressure, camber, etc; generally only the aero, brake balance, ride height.

btw i have f3 world records on GRID online if that makes you feel better

Gears & tyre pressure are fundamental in set up for me, camber dependant on circuit, tyre pressure I thought is a given for adjusement if the rides adjusted I find anyway, I assume you've got all the aids off ?

take pic of lap times in records room it'll show them all for each circuit

Tried yesterday driving in other cars and that was not feeling right. Really used to the Brawn now. Do you guys also use the roof-camera view? I found the cockpit view very hard.

yeh, i only use the onboard camera view, best one, the behind the car view is pathetic lol

I've always found that if you get tyre pressures and gears right which are also the easiest to get right then they make the difference of up to 3 or 4 seconds over a lap, they certainly make a bigger difference than ride height so spend 5 minutes setting pressures and gears and you should be able to beat that Spa time no probs

I always play cockpit view, not because I find it easier but because I'm after that sim feeling, might give roof view a go see if it makes a difference to my lap times.
