FW11B
Launch time is fast approaching and i've been playing around with Cinema 4D again, I managed to miss out last year but I think I've come up with a worthy successor to my AF1-007, the last installment of my line of F1 car designs that I started in 2001 with my AF1-001.

Hope you'll alow me this indulgence. Again launch day is planned for 1 January 2009 access to internet allowing.

Ah...it's a car cover. I was wondering what aero rules those were blush.gif

The Krispy Kreme sponsorship is an inspired decision, it helps keep the ballast closer to the center of gravity clap.gif

That is a wild, but very cool design. You should team up with some people who do mods for driving games and get one of these made into a raceable model.
Bob Nomates
why does it have ITV sponsorship?
Ivan
Another cool design! But help me understand the double side pods? How are they supposed to work?
In the over head shot there is no steering wheel...Is there some new technology going on there?
Alapan
Very nice up.gif

That high wing will take time to seem less weird ...

The ITV sponsorship is just my idea of a joke because they gave up the TV rights.

What is it about steering wheels, it's always one of the first things that people notice is missing! The lack of steering wheel is down to the newly introduced "Fly by wire" technology, the car is controlled with a joystick just to the right of the drivers right knee, unfortunately this is inside the main cockpit and is hidden from view in the top view. As most of the drivers are getting younger and have most of their experience from computergames I think this is a reasonable possibility wink.gif

The double side pod is not what it appears to be, the intention is to have a smaller sidepod that is connected to the main body of the car with a wing section thus hopefully increasing the aerodynamic downforce that has been removed with the introduction of the smaller rear wing. I'm no Aerodynamacist so this concept may well be rubbish but I do like the car, in my humble opinion at last it looks "interesting". I'm only sorry that I've had to dispense with the traditional livery that pervious cars have shared.

Very interesting design. up.gif One request though: could you please change the background color of the head-on view to light gray so that we can more easily distinguish where it ends and the car starts?

Very cool, nice job.

Very nice !!! up.gif
By the absence of winglets, narrow and taller rear wing, and wider front spoiler, it appears like it may meet the new regs.

Why so? I like your alternative though!
Looks fantastic FW11B. up.gif
But sadly, I doubt any of the real ones will look this inspired.

AND that is what is lacking from the sport these days...REAL imaginative cars. Blame the the cookie cutter rules.
