I expect Massa to outscore Raikkonen in 2009 once again. We'll see what happens."

Massa x Alonso in 2010, you read it here first.wink.gif

Massa is joining Renault? I thought Alonso is happy with lapdog Piquet as a teammate lol.gif

Probably yes. So far every imaginable circumstance has been used as an excuse in Kimis favour.

So: Ferrari having problems ("issues") of any kind = Kimi handicap, Massa advantage.

Anyone wanna guess the race tracks at which each driver will be faster?

IMO Massa has a strong chance to beat Raikkonen at:
Australia, Bahrain, Spain, Monaco, Turkey, Germany, Valencia, Singapore and Brazil... ambivalent.gif

Interesting to see how much faith is still shown in Kimi even though he, on average, has been worse than Massa over two seasons. Lets not forget Massa handed Kimi the title in 07 and Massa was more convincing last year.

I voted Kimi too drunk.gif

Be careful ! You might end up as annoying as some of the Hamilton lover boys smile.gif no disrespect for any of the drivers thought. Both brilliant and if I can add to the same group, Kimi too ;)

I recall hearing something similar last year at this stage...how was it? Something like Kimi will 'destroy' Massa reasoning that he was the WDC but now, worst yet, he was used to the car and the team... huh? What? It didn't happen? Oh no... now Massa's fanboys will get crazy thinking that the "golden boy" can drive anything else instead of just an ice cream truck...

Well... I can't predict the outcome of 2009... Kimi is a great driver and may recover... Massa has matured and may very well beat Kimi... what is really predictable is that Kimi fanboys will never learn that a fly can't get into a closed mouth....

Allow me to revisit the topic at the season's end....

IT IS NOT BRAGING IF YOU CAN BACK IT....

And they can't even develop a car, neither of them. Fernando jogged around Honda's factory and the car turned out to be incredibly fast.

Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam...
F1 Tor.
Whatever happened in the past is long gone. It's a new scorecard and it's 0-0. May the best man win.

Massa cashed the points inherited by Kimi/Massa crashes in Canada and Spa and in China, Kimi let Massa go by w/ no resistance... or do you disagree?

I cannot remember any Kimi/Massa crashes in Canada or in Spa.

Please express coherently what you are trying to say; afterwards I'll be able to decide if I agree or disagree.

Unlike Massa in 2007, Raikkonen never was in the position to hand a title to anyone.

I think what's special is that they are quite evenly matched, and it really could go either way. Can you imagine a poll like this about Hamilton vs Kova? Or Alonso vs PK? Hmm, come to think of it maybe the BB needs these polls.. wink.gif

The job of 2nd driver is to be in front of Hamilton and not to be in front of 1st driver. Kimi even once gifted his position to Massa, something Massa never did to him.

And here comes the Massa brigade shrieking out "What about Brasil" wink.gif

Ah, the Kimi fans going strong again. Seems they managed to erase and repress all the 2008 debacles in the meantime. Good to see. smile.gif

Ah, the sneaky insult-disher is back again. Good to see

Nice to meet you again, Mr Klover. Any predictions for the 2009 Kimi vs Felipe duel?

Or did you stop making predictions after you fell flat on your face with your classic 'flying pigs' statement?

Nope...just massaging their own asses...just in case it is needed. After last year, they learned to be prepared.... Once upon a time there was a poster here, Mr. Baumgarten, that promised to beat himself with a crowbar if Massa had any success in F1...long gone, never recovered from self inflicted injuries... lol.gif

I expect it to be close, but I think/hope Kimi will prevail on top. up.gif

Nice to mee you again, Mr Giacomo, after putting me on your ignore list for good, you seem talkative, I appreaciate that up.gif

What happened to your headline story that Kimi would be driving for Toyota in 2008 or did you stop posting such sneaky balfesque stories after Kimi won the WDC at the end of 2007?

I cannot predict the future but I'll put my money on Kimi to finish ahead, just for the sake of discussion if you don't mind wink.gif

I had a four months or so vacation from this forum, but this sounds... somehow... familiar... wave.gif

Kimi will deliver, but umlike earlier years I'm giving up on "he'll dominate" stuff. Old dogs learn too.

Keke Rosberg:

So well fit and motivated Räikkönen is totally superior compared to Massa. We will see that during this summer. Let's hope Kimi's charge will bring him the world championship.

During last season Kimi had a few DNF's and then Kimi noticed that he fell out of the championship train. Then everybody will easily get professional boredom. That's why it's great to see how he has put the pieces into place and from what I've heard that training has been such. Kimi looks that fit.

Well we will see what will happen. It will be close again that's for sure.

And btw seeing that you are fallen out of the championship race automaticly means you just give up on it? I assume you work your ass off to stay in the race and still come out on top until the maths say it isn't possible anymore right Keke?

MTV3 is no doubt looking for subscribers to their pay-tv channel that broadcasts F1, so keep that in mind. To no one's surprise, their "expert" panel unanimously selected Kimi as the favourite to win the championship too smile.gif

That said, if Kimi's apparent change of shape reflects his overall approach to racing then things look good. Hopefully he and Ferrari will make the extra effort to have things finally click.

Felipe has an ugly beard therefore I hope he fails.
giacomo
Does that mean Kimi was unfit and out of shape last year? I always thought he only suffered from tyre issues.

may be both: having a spare tyre around his waist? Or then he did met his personal peak of development curve. Could be. He is just a human after all, not a discussion forum member like us.

Thats just rubbish.Shouldnt they be behind Heikki, because he is in their payroll? I love your reasoning for hoping Felipe to fail lol.gif

I was worried how we're going to keep the score on this one with the new scoring system. Fortunately it was rejected up.gif

There are lots of drivers who have lost some weight over the winter.
Were they out of shape last year, too? confused.gif

Passive aggressive much? As far as I know Kimi wasn't unfit, just a bit on the heavy side for an F1 driver which became a bigger problem now with this KERS nonsense. Was it Webber who predicted Kimi would win if it was a boxing championship? lol.gif

Not even they are biased enough to claim Heikki has a chance against Lewis at McLaren so of course it's Kimi they're hyping up.

At least we would have known the winner much sooner that way.

I have never understood why people has always been so forgiving with Kimi.

Regards
molive
IMO the only thing Massa has to do is to keep close and score good points in the 1st few races, then, when F1 goes to his favourite tracks (Bahrein, Turkey, etc) he will make-up for the (small) difference in points and put Kimi again in the 2nd driver role. smile.gif

Weird beard or not, GO MASSA! clap.gif

Maybe bcs... [usually]

1> Kimi doesn't moan or invent lame excuses.
2> Kimi doesn't throw his car over Alonso.
3> Kimi doesn't talk bad about other drivers.
4> Kimi is not patronized by Ferrari.
5> Kimi never had a "teacher".

I think Kimi is quite a mute gentleman.
Kimi has this forgiving attitude towars other people and so it is reflected in his benefit.
