I see
just like kimi on Sutil then.

Right?

Sutil is the favorite victim of Ferrari bulling.
Massa closed the door in the pits over Sutil 3 times last year... and did not get a penalty. rolleyes.gif

That's a silly argument.
Everything that happens along a race is a "racing accident".
What we mean is Massa has hit Lewis on purpose to avoid him getting away.

There is no evidence at all for what you are saying.. its just you talking out of your ass.

If you dont see a differnece between hitting other cars without control or with full control, I cant help you. Massa had the control of his car, he just tried something impossible.

as you were not driving the car you cannot say it is impossible (its nice to judge from the TV without having the sightless idea what goes on a driver's mind in a split second) .. Massa is a race car driver and if he sees an opportunity he takes it.. sometimes it woks and sometimes it does not.. Senna did the exact same thing numerous times.. ...
On purpose was Schumacher bumping into JV at Jerez 97.. - totally different..

maybe the move Massa pulled at Hungary at the start was at the time impossible for other drivers..

Its possible when the other driver moves away. Letme pass or we crash type of racing which I despise.

so he had other stuff in mind than crashing PURPOSELY on other drivers.
That was the point
MikeTekRacing
the first thing to be able to race a car the way you want is to control it when there is no need to race it.
kimi wasn't even racing the car at that moment, he just lost it.

kimi tripped while walking, massa tripped while running

you mean he also hit seb on purpose? lol
you're not very wise arguing..you know that, don't you?
while you can debate as much as you want that massa would have hit lewis on purpose why on earth would he hit bourdais?

Hey, let's not crash this thread! I took a break from hating Hamilton and read this article on BBC's website:

Shadow of Alonso hangs over Ferrari drivers
Ferrari say the new car is much more to his liking, a picture supported by one rival team official at the Barcelona test who was hugely impressed by Raikkonen's performance - more so than by Massa.

Then again, we heard this stuff last year too and the little Brazilian beat Kimi regardless.

It doesn't matter much if the new car is to Kimi's liking in the beginning if development throughout the season takes it into a different direction from what his liking is.

"Personally I feel a huge difference to start this season compared to 2007," said Raikkonen. "Now I know the team and the way they work and there won't be any surprises.
"I've built up a good relationship with my engineers and we understand each other: they know how I want my car to be set up."

"I believe that we're going to Melbourne with a competitive car," he explained. "The tests during the winter went very well and we did everything possible. The F2008 is a step forward from the car we had last year.
"The team have done a great job; especially in the areas where we weren't that strong, like the behaviour through slow corners and over the kerbs. We should be strong in every situation, although you never know these things for sure."
He added: "I'm really satisfied with how the tests went. We have a strong, fast, competitive and reliable package. We should be there fighting for victories in every race and in the end for the two championships."

Kimi Raikkonen, March 11th 2008

same story basically..
giacomo
Absolutely. Kimi only started to complain about the car after being outqualified by Massa on a regular basis.

BTW, I expect the same from Massa in case of him being outqualified more often than not this season. It's the normal driver reaction. Everthing is fine as long as you are faster than your teammate.
xman
Well, Kimi's 2008 started nicely but the in-season development went to wrong direction whereas Massa got the car completely to his liking. This season could be other way around with new regulations and slicks in place. We'll see.

I wouldn't necessarily call it wrong, it was just different from what he wanted. Or did you mean "wrong for Kimi"?

Actually Massa was faster in qualy from day one; he only managed to throw away the points for the first two races by stupid mistakes. And that's what made Kimi's early 2008 look nice.
BMW_F1
Why do people keep forgetting that Massa's car broke down in Australia last year... Without that DNF he would have been WDC despite his early spin..

Because they prefer to remember his Silverstone desaster.

Yeap, wrong for Kimi, think they even admitted it.. somewhere between Germany and Hungary GP's where Kimi qualified 6th in both and went back to old bits and parts for the next race if I recall right.

You're kidding right?
Massa spun all by himself, almost collecting the wall.
Then demolished Couthards RedBull.
After all that, how can you say it wasn't his fault? confused.gif
You can't make an statement, but can't discard it also.

Wasn't Kimi ahead of Massa at the time of Massa's mistake in Malaysia? How come Massa's stupid mistake to spin from 2nd made Kimi look nice? I thought Kimi actually had the race under control at that time and Massa outdid himself in a futile chase but it seems I was wrong and it was Massa who gifted him the win by spinning out from 2nd confused.gif

Round one to Massa.

What? I doubt that Massa and Kimi were fighting for the numbers.
Gagá Bueno
So people only talk about the Silverstone disaster. And what about the disasters in Malaysia & Fuji? "For sure" (in Portuguese the guy sounds as dumb as in any other language BTW...) disasters enough to earn the title of most promising and hyped "never-WDC" ever...
jokuvaan
What? I doubt that Massa and Kimi were fighting for the numbers.

Indeed, numbers are given by points and there was simply a error being made on those initally.

But now kimi has said himself that he likes the car unlike last year

Kimi has said that car is better than last year and driving is more similar to "old days".
When setup is good, difference to last year isnt big.

"I think we had a good winter, and the car looks okay," said the Finn in his usual succinct manner. "It's hard to know where we are compared to the others, especially because of the effect of all the new rules. We will find out tomorrow and Saturday. I am not sure if the new car suits my driving style better than last year's , but I would say I am happier this time with how our winter testing has gone."
Poltergeistes
well in these pictures it seems like kimi just won the first battle agaisnt massa, he definetly won the " baby face" tittle. mind you massa had been holding that position ever since he entered f1 !! looking at kimis picture made me laugh alot, and at first i was asking myself why does he look so funny? hes always got a serious face in those kinds of pictures, then i noticed the hat, its the hat thats not bent like everybody wears it, somehow the hat and the way he puts the boots on top of the race suit's bottom, made it look like the pic is from the 70s. roflmao.gif

someone said in another topic that he looks like a 6 years old whos mother forgot to pick him up lol.
Mauseri
Guess he got the cap style from here

As for on track happenings, it will be interesting to see what Massa can do in a car which look quite nervous and and might not be in front row up.gif
Tomerell
Perhaps Kimi has found some extra speed to pass the media area quicker with new cap design cool.gif
TT6
So it's 1-1 after first two free practice sessions. Or should we calculate cumulative time difference between 'em? Then Kimi leads with massive 0.878 secs... biggrin.gif

I prefer average difference from all sessions of the year. 0.44 for Kimi, quite what could be excepted so far up.gif
Henrik B
I prefer not judging anything based on practice sessions, especially not in a season where free practice sessions is half practice, half testing. Fuel-corrected qualification (actually possible this season!), race pace and final standing, that's my melody.
trenchcoat
kimi went out whne the trak was the best and used super soft tyres - while massa did not. Look up the stints on hards and Massa trashes and outclasses Kimi by over 6 tenths. Its going a one side affair aT fERRARI...Massa would leave Kimi in his wake

keeping score after free practice. It's going to be a long year for some of you. drunk.gif
RoutariEnjinu
Christ's fat cock at Massa nearly loosing it. EXCELLENT catch. I see what he means by saying the tyres are more progressive and easier to get back once they slide.

My god I can't stop watching that moment: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/7967513.stm

Absolutely beautiful. These 09 cars are beautiful.

Why is it that when a driver is fast it´s all about how great he is, and when he´s slow it´s, "the car doesn´t suit my driving style". Same on two wheels, so it´s not just a car related thing.

Keep on dreaming while you can tongue.gif This was still testing, and you cannot say what everyone was looking for. Most likely both of them tested different things to maximise the time and data collected...

Thats where we can see the real power ratio between the fellows this year up.gif

Lets wait till Sunday after we draw too serious conclusions cool.gif

Kimi supporters talk a lot like the 05/06 Montoya fans since he joined Ferrari.
