I have been on the lookout for some decent racing simulator that could be driven with arrow keys and yet give good control and feeling, plus providing a realistic enough car behaviour.
Something for a 5 min break at the office.
Well, I found this little gem:

the author of which seems somewhat mysterious.
Any other titles of the sort?

Grand Prix 2 goes quite well on a keyboard. Just look around there even is an active community grandprix2.de .
Yes, canon, GP2 is fun but I was referring more to quick games, something that does not require much mental effort and ends in minutes.
A good example I recently found is:

Really beautiful; the only shortcomings being the too obvious AI adjustments of the cars (two of them adapt their speed in order to battle with you) , and the front wheels pointing in quite random direction: one of the secrets is learning not to watch them.
Physics are basic but they convey the right feeling.

This is a great game played with arrows from the days of DOS:
http://www.digitalfootmark.com/?pr=slixMy favourite is the oval track (more like a 4 corner track like Indy, with 2 double apex corners).

i prefer using arrow keys and this is something that always annoyed me about rfactor and stuff. I want a realistic game but I would prefer to start with something like an arcade mode where if i don't set the damper correctly i don't spin off at the first corner. Rfactor and keys is a nightmare as is GTR and GTR 2. Race Pro is better and I can win a few races with that on keys

There was quite a controversy in Live for Speed a couple of years ago when keyboard drivers held nearly all the world records much to the frustration of wheel drivers like myself.
It was possible as the game has a very good counter steering algorithm which constantly controlled slides and you were effectively only tweaking the steering with the keys. It was actually great fun but still not as rewarding as a wheel.
As a result the algorithm was crippled slightly to take the unfair advantage away.
You can get a demo and the full game here:

Generally is a great pick up game for keyboard, hours of fun! Live for Speed is also really good with keys if a little trickier. There was a time on LFS when the keyboard drivers were quicker than the wheel drivers because the predictive steering correction was so accurate it allowed maximum grip to be obtained!

Another one from caiman. Senna and others..

A recent discovery of mine is F1 Challenge 99-02.
Not really the original game, just the mods, like F1 Seven, a wonderful recreation of 70's championships.
I have to say, it's not as difficult as Grand Prix Legends but it IS challenging and fun; I normally drive it same way as GPL., i.e. with a joypad (no wheel atm) and just auto shift on, but turning on the various helps (steering, traction, brake) arrow keys become perfectly manageable.
Shelled out 2 Euro and 70 cent to get a copy of Speed Car Challenge, PC version.
Great investment, lot of fun, good physics, arrow keys about the only option.
Pity there is no car setup and there are only a few tracks; but still worth playing.
Permanently installed on my PC for short breaks.
