We are, but its been delayed four or five times now for over 4 months. Wonder what the glitch is?

Can't wait for it myself. SimBin's work on the PC has been pretty much Exemplary (GTR2 is about as perfect as a Sim can get).

Add that pedigree to some console accessiblity and X-Box live . . .

This is the first I've heard of this game. It looks great, except for the fact that it only has 13 tracks. I don't have a 360 yet, but once I do (hopefully this summer, assuming I'm still employed!) this will likely be the first game I'll get.

Sadly, i believe it has been delayed, but only by a week this time, to 20th Feb

Well, my copy has just arrived, and most enjoyable it is too.

I've just spent a pleasant hour or so blasting around Anderstorp and Brands Hatch in a Mini and a Caterham.

It's not Forza 2 in terms of cars and tracks, and it's not Gotham in terms of glitz, but in terms of "feel" it's pretty damn slick, even with only a humble joypad. Take off stability control, ABS etc and the Caterham is a right little handful of fun.

We should get a league going .

Everyone at Haymarket who got an early copy has said it's shit, the cars have no feel, they dont driver properly, etc etc.

Not that I take their opinions terribly serious, but their opinions thusfar have been damning.

Is it out for general release now? Can I go pick it up at Game?

I don't think it's officially out until the 20th. Play.com dispatched my copy the day before yesterday and I got it today. There's certainly a fair few people who do have it, judging by the online scoreboards.

It's pretty no frills to be honest, effectivly you get some cars and some tracks and that's it, you can forget fancy paint options and the career mode seems to be funtional but little else. I'm yet to delve into the set-ups.

In terms of driving though I do think it's the best I've had on a console (Forza's not far off though). It's obviously utterly humped by the PC stuff (of which most of note is Simbin at the moment anyway) but I think for level it's pitched at, it's not at all bad. I've certainly played worse (PGR4 I'm looking at you with your tiny text and silly bikes).

I've not unlocked any of the big stuff yet, but then again I've not really driven much of the big stuff for real to be honest. I have however driven a Caterham 200 at a fair lick, and as a console rendition of that twitchy, back end slewing under power, feel it's not at all bad.

Didn't see this one comin until I hit the store yesterday...
I figure since they dropped GTR for the 360, they worked on that project!!!

Menus, music and other options reminded me of the TOCA series on the previous XBOX

I will say this however, the AI seems to be . . . well . . . slow.

I'm racing on what I assume is the hardest setting with all aids turned off and I'm pissing all over the AI opponents, often 4 seconds a lap quicker than them.

Now I'd like to say it's because I'm an incredibly gifted sim-racer, but I know from experience that this isn't the case.

Who knows, perhaps things will get harder as I progress. I'm about to give Formula Bimmer a go, so we'll see.

Im really enjoying it, i play it cockpit mode with the wheel and it really is great, only in this setting do you get a true 'feel' for it, put it on to pro with very hard AI and you get that racing buzz, definitely the best racer on 360

What's the final verdict on this one?

Overall a good sim game as it's not a full price game!!!
You could probably find it in some bargain bins already as it wasn't a huge it.
Some online racers but not a whole lot out there...
3 DLC packs came out!!! They're too expensive if you ask me... 800 Points each.
Simbin could have worked it a little better as the awaited console version of GTR was apparently cancelled for unknown reasons.

One thing I sure noticed is that there's a lot of Autosport ads in this game...
