Wow!

Now I would love to have a go at that, but sadly I don't have my racing PC rig set up at the moment (won't have for another few months either).

Is this 1960 Indy just a one off? Or is it going to be a regular thing?
Frank Verplanken
It's the first in a series of open races we do at the league next to our regular championships. The Indy 500 in itself can only be a yearly event cool.gif , but we have other mythical races cooking smile.gif. Not sure about another one with Gasoline Alley cars though, as limited tracks are available. The Monzanapolis race is a possibility, as well as the 1959 FIA/USAC race at Daytona. Or Milwaukee. Or Trenton... smile.gif. We'll see how this one goes first anyway smile.gif. Hope to see you there in the future ;).

BR,
Admit it...you're not doing it because you can't manage a meet 'N' greet, let alone an online tourney! wink.gif roflmao.gif

Already 19 entries clap.gif . That leaves 14 available cars if anyone's interested smile.gif smoking.gif

Our Indy 500 grid is now full but we have a new championship - the 1988 edition of the mythical Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft. Using the Touring Car Legends 1.1 mod for rFactor, the series will start June 3. Please visit the dedicated forum to get all the details and book your car smile.gif.

Hi smile.gif

A quick note to let you know about the 2010 plans at HSO . As in 2009, we will run only real races and championships of yesteryear, with accurate fields, distances and rules. The menu goes like this so far :

- 1967 F1 World Championship (@ Grand Prix Legends)
- 1970 InterSerie (@ rFactor WSC70)
- 1970 Championnat de France des Circuits (@ rFactor Historic GT & Touring Car)
- 1979 F1 World Championship (@ rFactor F1 79)
- 1980 Procar BMW M1 Series (@ rFactor Procar BMW)
- 1991 IMSA GTP Series (@ NR2K3 GTP)

Other series are planned too and will be announced later. Also watch out for our Open events - last year's 1960 Indianapolis 500 will be back, held 40 years to the day after the real thing. A 1970 Watkins Glen 6 Hours with the WSC70 cars is also cooking.

The league is free for all to enter, provided you register on the forum with your real name smile.gif . Every historic simracing enthusiast very much welcome !

Hi all smile.gif

HSO's second annual Indy 500 race is back, still run to 1960 rules with Gilles Benoit's excellent Gasoline Alley mod.

The 2010 edition sees a reduced aero draft compared to last year and most importantly a nice 1960 circuit update by JP Campmajo with period landscape (turn 4 tree love.gif ) and a bricked main straight.

The race will be run on the full 500 Miles, without yellow cautions. The field is limited to the 33 1960 cars of the mod.

All the details on the forum.

While we're at it, an update on the current series :

1967 Formula 1 (GPL)
1970 USAC Stock Car (rFactor American Muscle)
1976 IMSA GT Challenge (rFactor HGTTC)
1979 Formula 1 (rFactor F1 1979)
1988 DTM (rFactor TCL)
1991 IMSA GTP (NR2003 GTP)

Hi all smile.gif .

Some late withdrawals have left us a bit short of the ideal 33-car field... If any of you wants to give it a try please come and join us ! Race is scheduled for Sunday June 6th at 8:00pm (CET). Live broadcasting by NetGaming TV will once again this year be available.
