So, I'm getting shipped overseas for work next week, and I'm going to make a detour and hit Barcelona for the Spanish GP.

I've been looking to buy tickets online, and most of the sites will ship it to me, which won't really work, because it's too last minute (I'm flying out in 2 days).

Any locals have any tips for me? Can I buy the tickets Saturday morning on site or is it sold out already? I'm looking at sitting over at Grandstand A. If there's any locals reading here that might wanna show me around too, that'd be great. I don't speak a word of Spanish, so I'll be pretty lost there! smile.gif

Thanks!

Can't help with last minute tickets I'm afraid but if you get to the track early on Friday morning you might be lucky. Don't worry about not speaking Spanish. Barca is a very tourist-friendly city.

Check out how to get to the track http://www.circuitcat.com/ingles/index.asp

Sweet thanks for the tip! I went through that site, and it let me buy a ticket and pick up at the ticket office there. All the other sites including Canadian ones that were selling to me locally required shipping the tickets to me. Got my seat this morning in Grandstand A!

Nice, that's where I'm sitting too... A01, Row 15. I'll probably be the only McLaren fan there, which might be trouble!

I was on the embankment between turns 8 and 9 last year.

The Alonso supporters there are pretty fanatical, with the giant Asturias flags hanging down.

Pretty good natured though, so long as Lewis Hamilton wasn't driving past.
