Does anyone have a recommendation for the best grandstand location to view the GP this year. I am planning to take my wife so general admission is not allowed!

Prima variante (first corner) gets my vote. Always lots of action there, the atmosphere is great and after the race you can run down the main straight and catch the podium if you're quick.

On the Friday you should be able to sit in any grandstand as long as you have grandstand ticket. Good opportunity to sit opposite the pits and view the teams in action.

If you're staying in Milan make sure you catch the free train on Sunday from the central station, it drops you off right next to the Lesmo corners! smile.gif

I'd recommend Variante Ascari. The cars are really quick through here, especially on the exit. The entry to this sequence is also cool. Pricey on raceday though.

The Variante della Roggia is also really cool, as you're quite close to the track. Try and get the stand which faces the oncoming traffic. There is also quite a bit of overtaking here.

I had a grandstand ticket at the first corner, the Rettifilo in 2007. To be honest it was a bit boring once the race had started, although that was the year Lewis sliced by Raikkonen.

Don't rule out General Admission, I did this last year and got a really great view, and moved about all over the place. Was cool.

Don't forget to go on Friday. If you've got a weekend ticket any grandstand is free that day.
