White cars is a common bug, you're probably having the wrong quality of textures selected in the graphics settings. Wacky tracks with the cars flying happen when the .DAT file and the .WAD file in the same slot are from different tracks.
Since I have no idea what kind of mods and programs did you install, I can't solve your problem. Your best bet is to go to grandprixgames.org and post on their forums, it's the best community for GP4 and trouble-shooting of the game.

Well.. the game's original graphics are terrible, much worse than in that video you posted. So it's normal. I don't understand why you're getting white cars though then, because that problem is only usual with mods.
Your graphic cards is supported, it's a very common card that was released much later than the game.

I'm not sure there's a 2001 mod. Some dudes were working on it but I don't think it's been released.
And yeah, modding GP4 is a bit of a pain in the ass. If I remember right you need to install the official patch, then the decrypted .exe, then GPxPatch, then ZaZ Tools, then the mods.
This is a good place for getting the mods:

Ugh, you are all noobs!
Do the following things:
- Download and install the patch v9.6
- Download and install decrypted .exe - should be v1.02 or something (should just be a .zip, extract files and copy and paste to the root GP4 folder so it replaces the original
- Download gpXpatch - on the original settings screen, turn the CPU to 0
- Run the game to check if it works - if not, reinstall GP4 (unlikely but possible).
- Check the cars - if still white, go to the main menu, options, graphics settings, and bump everything up to the max (except frame rate - lock this at 20). If this works, but makes the game slow, try a lower resolution on this screen (but only after checking).
- Check the game
To MOD tracks:
- There are two files where info is stored
- Firstly, there are a list of .wads on the root folder (Infogrammes - Grand Prix 4 or whatever) which you need to replace. This is the graphics files. Once you have downloaded a .wad file for a track, you can drag and drop and replace the original file (BACKUP FIRST!!!!!!!!!!)
- Secondly, there is a list of files which go something like Track01.DAT. I think this is in the file called circuits or something. Anyway click on a few files and you will find it. These are the physics files. To replace them - same thing, drag and drop and replace the files. Remember to drag and drop with CTRL held down so that you copy the file instead of move it, and also BACKUPSSSSSS!
Hope this helps. With cars, you get .wad files I think on the GP4 root folder. Replace these - can't remember if there are any other files but I don't think so. Look at www.grandprixgames.org or gp4world (google that one) and there are loads of FAQs already around.

Jun 15 2009, 20:28
Download, and run the .exe. If it is still in zip form then just extract (right click, extract). You can load GP4 through gpxpatch.

Jun 16 2009, 16:15
So download the decrypted .exe v1.02 (it's everywhere) and then copy and paste it over your existing one. Then run the game, and change the graphics settings like I said, and tell me whether you still have the white cars problem.

Listen, I would love to help you and I have suggested you use the decrypted .exe (which enables you to run the game without the disc), change the graphics settings in game, and then TELL ME HOW IT WENT. Please do so.
Also, for the GPXpatch problem, just make sure you install it into your Grand Prix 4 folder, with the GP4.exe in. That is, Infogrammes>Grand Prix 4 if you did it by default.

My exact problems.
The track graphics are not good.
Practically all the cars are white. Some cars are all white, some just the diffusor etc
some of the tv overlays are white
MaxScelerate
Jun 19 2009, 15:47
from a *very* basic google search :
QUOTE
Q. Got white squares on screen?
A. Options -> Graphics -> disable arcade and TV overlays.
QUOTE
Q. Why are all cars white when playing a CSM mod?
A. Texture resolution must be set to 'high'. Go ingame to the advanced graphic options and select 'High res' for the car textures.
Perhaps the second solution would help even if you don't have a mod installed...?

Maybe, but if the symptoms are identical, perhaps you *might* try the high res option (or have you?) and see if it *may* work? Costs nothing but a minute.
