Sounds like the same Max to me. If I was ever unlucky enough to shake his hand I think I'd be checking for the correct number of fingers etc afterwards.

Don't forget the wash.

F1 is a hobby for Martin Sorrell. His most lucrative job is Group chief executive at WPP.

Salary 2008: 1,033,000.00 £
Bonus 2008: 1,250,000.00 £

Less than Ecclestone (source: Forbes).

QUOTE
WPP, the world's second largest advertising and marketing company, will next week ask its investors to approve a controversial new award scheme which could see its chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell earn $95m (£60m) in bonuses over the next five years.

Still less than Ecclestone.

The fact that Ecclestone is an employee of CVC came as a surprise to me. I always thought that half of the benefits of F1 went into his pocket?

So I'm not sure if I understand any of this. Can Ecclestone be sacked from F1, can he lose all his F1 earnings, and why did FOTA have nothing to say on the Hitler stance?

That's a very good point about FOTA. I'm surprised at how it's been dealt with full-stop. Half the news sites ignored it, and those that didn't didn't exactly go overboard with it. I'd like to see him get 'punished' in some way, but I'm not holding my breath.

There was a time when much (if not all) of what Bernie said would turn out to be correct, however over the last few months he seems to have dropped the ball.

The "I will sort F1 out in 48 hours" which was roughly translated as meaning he would get all and sundry to sign the Concorde agrrement in 2 days. Still not signed

Now we have the "Schumacher won't come back" story which has also turned out to be wrong.

Come on Bernie, sort it out mate!
Demo.

Because CVC are nothing to do with FOTA and FOTA have no right to even try to say anything to them.
Bernie brought the commercial rights to F1 for 200M he then sold them later on to cvc for 2B
However as part of the deal he also has a job with them i am not certain if it was Bernie or if it was CVC who wanted it as part of the deal.
It would be like theThe BBC buying the TV rights for prem football and then the teams trying to go to the BBC and say who could and could not run the BBC.

"In Germany there must always be a race," the Briton told Germany's Auto Bild Motorsport. "The Germans have put a lot of money into F1 and with Mercedes have a winning team.

So now BE says Germany should always have a race because they have put a lot of money in. On that basis both Britain and Japan should be guaranteed a slot as they have put in at least as much.

What a stupid thing to say. Terror and torture, that's how Saddam Hussein controlled the Iraq.

Yea, stupid to be honest.

Sure Hitler got things done: he ordered for millions of jews to be killed.
Way to go Bernie.

Hitler never did useful things prior to the war?
Slyder
Well he jumpstarted the economy again and rallied the people around him after the whole lot of Socialist dumbasses just sat around bickering which part of the left of the left of the left of the left was the right one while the country was dying from starvationa and lack of work.

He did AFAIK simply by restarting the military industry and that was his way out. But while he showed that up front, he began developing his more sinister plans on the side. He took every single Jewish business away from the Jewish people and it all went to hell from there.

That's from my understanding. There's too much stuff roaming around here regarding this period that it is really complicated to put the finger on it. The Germans and Austrians I'm sure may know the story better than most people for obvious reasons.

It was all deficit spending, it would have gone tits up before long. Especially after he shunted out Schacht.
