Hi guys! First post in the Racing Simulators section :-)

I'm looking for a racing simulator. It doesn't need to be anything fancy, the only requisites are:

- it should be 3-d. By that, I mean that it shouldn't be tiny cars on top of the aerial view of the circuit layout.

- it must accept custom circuits, as I want this simulator to learn a karting circuit in my town smile.gif

So, that's about it. Since half an hour in the karting circuit is 45 euro (about 60 usd), I would like to be able to learn the circuit so that I know what's coming and where should I go fast right away.

Thanks in advance! wave.gif

my suggestion would be to get rFactor (which has a couple of excellent kart mods already) and request someone does a BobsTrackBuilder track of the kart circuit, especially if you can provide a decent Google Earth image of the circuit. Bobs is brilliant stuff and, seeing as you don't need all of the scenery guff, a decent Bobber would be able to make you the track for game in a couple of hours smile.gif

Cool! Can you tell me the names of those kart mods?

Where could I find someone that could make a BobsTrackBuilder model of the circuit? I do have a pretty good google earth image of it:

Judging by the ratings on rfactorcentral, BRKart seems to be the best of the bunch (and looks excellent in the screenies......the public rating system doesn't usually lie, although i haven't tried the mod myself) if you're new to rfc, you'll need to register to download from the links (its fast and free) then download parts 1, 2 and 3, then the upgrade patch and follow their instructions for install. Whereabouts is the track please? I'll get some earth images with measurements - it may be easiest to request on the BTB forum at RSC but i'll ask around and see if anyone i know has BTB up.gif

Great! I'm already downloading BRKart smile.gif

I had a crazy idea, I thought: maybe someone else has already adapted the circuit to rFactor... and voila! http://foro.simracing.es/bobs-track-builde...-campillos.html

Those guys have already had a go at it, so I'm gonna try and see later if it works. The track already looks very cool.

And the track is in Campillos, Malaga (Spain). Apparently, it's the biggest karting circuit in Spain: it's 1.5 km, which is pretty long for a karting circuit! tongue.gif
