Understandably, news of Massa's condition is probably taking precedence on Autosport.com at the moment, but after a gloomy weekend, this week's 'Paddock Life' was a little bit disappointing and I thought failed to delve into the lighter, more amusing topics from Hungary.

For example:
  • The O2 network problems on Friday?
  • Vettel's front mechanic breaking his toe and having to go to hospital from dropping a nose cone on it?
  • Anything more on the teamwear issue with Williams?

I have always found the PAddock Life feature, very weak. It's not funny and rarely provides interesting insight on anything. It's either a lame writer or the paddock is simply uninteresting. And according to Dave Cameron's excellent "Season in the Sun" column from 2003, I don't believe it is.

I think it's probably more of the case that they're probably too busy to know what else is going on bar the racing.

But what I mentioned in my first post should be the sort of things covered. Light-hearted, non-serious stories. Whether they were missed or just an oversight I don't know.
