I noticed while reading an article on Autosport that Twitter feeds are displayed on the right side of the page. (I'm a subscriber, and I was logged in at the time) Is this new? A few tweets from Jonathan Noble were displayed, including F1 qualifying results. As it happened, I was reading an article about F1 qualifying because I had just watched it on my TiVo. But this could have easily spoiled qualifying for me if the circumstances were different.

Can these Twitter feeds be turned off? Why do I care about Twitter posts if I'm already reading Autosport.com? I can imagine with all the racing I might follow in a given weekend (F1, GP2, Indy, MotoGP, etc) I might get a huge spoiler before I've had a chance to watch a race that I've got on TiVo, or has been broadcast-delayed (like GP2 and MotoGP on Speed in the USA which have a one day delay before they're aired).

This reminds me of the ESPN "sports ticker" disaster of the 90's when they would occasionally broadcast F1 race results on the bottom of the screen right before playing the tape-delayed F1 race!
