Yeah me too too. First 19 cars within 1.1s. Then Badoer another 1s further back. Never seen anything like it.

What happened with Rosberg?
Also, Alguersuari looking good until a problem---engine failure?
So ... Redbull got this one licked i think, all 4 cars look great. Toyota ... not convinced ... Brawns are really really bad especially on softs. Hamilton/Raikkonen look best behind the Redbulls
Oh and Vettel's on engine save mode, he's not going anywhere near the limiter all session long.

It's interesting that both Alguersuari and Raikkonen's cars powered with Ferrari engines failed almost at the same time

But it looks like the Ferrari engines anyway seem to like this track. Kimi P3 and Jaime P9.
Top 10 in 0.4 seconds.

I'm thinking Webber's looking pretty handy - time set on hards, very early in the session, and going by RBR's usual friday running probably with fuel.
Vettel's keeping his powder dry - won't want to risk the engine too much during friday running.
1.1 for 19 cars. Amazing.
RedBull look great!!! Brawn look very very good in sectors 1 and 3, with very good speed trap times. Sector 2 is giving them alot of problems. Very slow! Would be interesting to hear the comments later.
What happend with Kimi? Engine failure? ... Or run out of gas?

I've heard in other forum it might have been an hydraulic problem.

It is still Friday and looking at the classification, today's times means nothing the barbs will be revealed tomorrow.
The Mclarens were obviously testing, there were times that the cars almost come to a stand still just before the last corner. They were losing quite a bit of time in sector 2 but then, I didn't have the feeling they were attacking it that much and yes, I agree that Vetel looks and sounded like he was wasn't using all the revs in his car
Quite a healthy number of laps today from both Mclaren drivers in FP2.
Badoer's gone after Spa. That is now clear...

My observations
Red Bull showboating in practice after a bad weekend last weekend. They are light
Brawn heavy as hell. They are dominant.
TOYOTA REAL RACE CONTENDERS
Mclaren loom really good. Lewis is clearly the fastest guy in the slowest car here.

I believe that is due to the car set-up, they must have compromise the car in the 1st and 2nd sectors.
The cars that were very good in the 2nd sectors - including RB - are a bit slower in the other 2.

The only KERS graph on screen during FP1.
It was quite obvious what happened with Heikki at the end of FP1 when he overshot Rivage. By my calculations he used 35% of his KERS through Eau Rouge and 25% on the Kemmel Straight. That left him with 40% of the battery. But he was so fast prior to Rivage that it was impossible to keep the car on track. He used the KERS at the wrong time on that lap at least.

How is the current weather at SPA? any rain or is it dry`?
Badoer is finally turning decent laptimes.
He's still slow, but not shamefully slow; his progress seems to show that the actual problem was rust, not lack of talent.
I am waiting for quali and race but have a faint hope he'll keep the seat, now.

I do hope Sutil or Fisichella could score points at Spa this weekend. That will worth a few millions in advertising dollar from the FIA.
Heidfeld topped Sat practice with 1min 45.388. Surely somebody is going to dip in the 44s in the Q2 today. That would be a good 2sec over the pace set in 2008's Q2.

It would be nice to see FI get a few points, but they still have to earn them like everyone else

Nice to see them picking up speed.
I agree about the 44's but it all depends on the temp/weather in qualy though.
I wonder why they showed the KERS graphic so little? I only saw Heikki and Luca in the first sector and they did use KERS, about 50%, between the exit of La Source and the top of the hill. I didn't think they would use it there. But where do they use the rest?
