Australia 2005, Fisico - Trulli also...

Thanks, not that long ago really. Yea I'm sure Fisi had a great nights sleep, oh wait what time is it in Belgium now lol, I'm sure he feels alive now, a feelings he's not felt in years, F1 wise. Hope he get's a great result. smile.gif

Why don't they route the drinks bottle to the fuel tank, might be able to sneak in another kilo or two of fuel on the tankers and thus maximize the profitability. down.gif

I'm sure it's been thought of...

What?!? Hamilton *cheated* and the stewards justifiably punished him. He would have been nowhere near Kimi if he had taken the chicane on the correct line.
No Hamilton had no other route after Kimi locked his wheels but to go across the chicane. Never mind, racing involved, probably don't know about that do you.

Can you guys imagine Force India car starting on pole tomorrow? I still can't! It's just crazy, I can't imagine this situation.

It will be like watching the first race each year when all the new sponsor's colours line up and you just don't reconised the grid.
Henrytheeigth
Oh let's hope Fisi's car doesn't stall on the grid, and he has no problems on the warm up lap, nor at race start...nor at the first corner...

Sadly Fisi is not known for his strong mental strength. He often falls to pieces when it counts. I'll be surprised if he's still leading after the first lap. Anyway I'm looking forwards to an exciting race with this topsy-turvy grid. smoking.gif

The F1 mole says in reality it will probably be between Trulli and Kimi for the victory.

Here's hoping Fisi remembers to park the car correct side of the grid for the start. tongue.gif

Which is another way of saying it is Kimi's to lose. biggrin.gif

So you think Hamilton is a total tool behind the wheel of an F1 car? The fact is he could easily have followed Kimi and Kimi owned the final chicane. He consciously didn't and gained an advantage into La Source that would never have been there otherwise. Stewards luckily were awake. smile.gif

By looking the practice results, the grid is not actually so suprising. At least Trulli and Heidfeld. GF was suprise altough FI had done well on the saturday practise.. So based on those, I have to say Trulli is the favourite to win this. Next Heidfeld. By reading the comments where KR is a favourite from position 6 is a bit thick. He can be a wild card, but he is NOT a favourite. IMO without problems to the other drivers the best position KR can hope for is 3rd.

Fisichella - Genuinely fast quali lap, but pits after 12 laps. I just don't think VJM02 will be that good in race trim, and I'm pretty sure the team will blow it some way.
Trulli - 15 laps of fuel and the fastest fuel corrected Q3 time. Clearly the favourite, yet race pace underestimated by most.
Heidfeld - Great quali speed, good amount of fuel. His consistency might bring yet another 2nd place, but I don't think it's enough for him to win.
Barrichello - Only 11 laps. Rubinho is done, unless BGP 001 is quite a lot better in race trim.
Kubica - Clearly not a favourite with only 12 laps of fuel.
Räikkönen - F60 has usually been better on Sundays, and Kimi can make a couple of positions during the first lap. He also has a genuine chance to overtake with KERS and very fast S1. However, it is to be seen, whether he actually has the pace to challenge.
Glock - Hell no.
Vettel - Seb might lose some positions in the start, and will be unable to overtake, but he has enough fuel to fight for the win.
Webber - Red Bulls make their pace in S2, which means they should get stuck behind slower cars. With lighter car than Seb's, Webbo won't be a contender.

Trulli has to win this, he should be going for his second victory of the season but the team really blew the strategy in Bahrain.

and in a complete of topic post... I was at Spa last week. The guy in the entrance said i couldn't get in to see the circuit co's they were working it for the GP. So I took the pararel road to Les combes, parked in the end of the big straight, went underneath the track protections and walked in the circuit like one of those mad fans who enter in football or tennis fields. That tarmac is smoth as silk and the camel straight is more a hill than a straight! I was surprised! clap.gif

Trulli or Raikkonen for the win today.

Without wishing to be pedantic but it's Kemmel not Camel for the straight after Eau Rouge and before Les Combes. smile.gif

Yup at Spa you want a fast car in sec's 1 and 3 - 2nd sec barely rates during the race and you can't pass in it thats why I still think Hamilton will surprise in the race.

The stewards were not 'awake', they had no intention of doing anything until Charlie Whiting asked Donnelly and he told them to, after phoning Max in Peru. Max siezed the opportunity to punish Ron by inventing a new 2-corner rule to apply.
