Theissen says it's all about getting the tyres to work. The combination of track and tyre seems to have surprised some teams.

Spa is a short run to a funnel turn, Kers will help but not as much as other races.

Awesome session.Happy for Fisichella and co-low fuel or not,that was all a team like that could hope for and they've done it in style.Back to normal come the race but brilliant job nevertheless. Must've been a slap in the face for all the 'Farce India/Giancarlo Fisichella sucks' bandwagon.

Always maintained that drivers that perform well at a track like Spa regardless of the car are the cream of the lot: Raikkonen,Hamilton,Kubica and even Rosberg were just spectacular today.Great to watch.


And what the hell were the RBRs doing in Q3? Didn't even see them on the BBC feed; going easy on the engines is obviously understandable but looked like they were at least 4 tenths a lap slower than P1 today..

Fisi on pole! I mean, who would have forecast that? He needs to go to Ferrari now. I know I have been calling him an old has-been for years but I am genuinely delighted for him!

McLaren were woeful today...they lost so much time on S2, it was unreal. I still think Lewis will score some points tomorrow though...I'm looking forward to seeing him charge through the field.

Rubens...very well done. I think he could win tomorrow, and hopefully blow the title challenge wide open.

Button...words fail me. Do we really want this as our World Champion? Webber is not much better and I am sadly starting to think that Vettel is over-rated.
