If Schumacher and Kimi are confirmed at Mercedes it leaves Heidfeld a bit screwed. Rosberg would probably go to Renault.

This is correct but Mercedes are hoping to get him to break his contract if this is true. The only problem is that I can't imagine Red Bull needing the money and if they're more competitive than Mercedes what incentive is there for Seb to try and break the contract.

In 2009 Kubica outqualified Heidfeld, 2 points of Heidfeld's advantege in a seeason when one of them scored 25% of all points in one race and the other 50% of points in 1 race while having the highest level of reliability dnf's is meaningless. Kubica 2007 season - rubbish engineer, rubbish gearbox and rubbish electronics, and much more.
2009 season - BMW crap, blown engines, turned down engines, KERS...And Australia (where Kubica could win).
