According to James Allens blog, Massa is more than anxious to race at Abu Dhabi. He has some tests ahead of him, so maybe.
My opinion - if Massa jumps in that car in a months time, he is in for the shock of his life. He will be somewhere between Badoer and Fisi pacewise.

It is a racing drivers instinct to want to race as soon as possible but Massa would be foolish to, if he does race in Abu Dhabi I agree he will be somewhere between the performance of Fisi and Badoer so easy win for Kimi v Massa

Cant see it happening.... much as I admire the little guy for his determination to get back....take one look at his right eye still.... I dont think Ferrari will wish to risk their image to simply satisfy Massa's desire to get back behind the wheel, should..... god forbid...something happen while he is on track...
He will be far better to mentally accept this year is done and dusted and really concentrate on next year...

There are a lot of reasons why Felipe wouldn't be faster then Kimi in Abu Dhabi (out of the car for 3 months, not full recovered, etc, so even if Felipe races you cannot compare the two UNLESS Felipe beats Kimi, which would be a really hard hit for Kimi.
Having said that, I don't think Felipe will race in 2010. Why risk it? Besides, they got Fisichella now who gave up his Force India seat in order to race 5 races for Ferrari. It would be a bit harsh to cut that to 4.

Not that harsh given his performances.

Won't believe it until I see it. I think it's a stupid idea.
I might perhaps consider giving him the friday morning session, but thats all.

No matter who will be faster. People will still bash Kimi.
If Massa is faster, then Kimi is just horrible.
If Kimi appears to be quicker, then it was expected because he's been in the seat for the whole season, while Massa has just made a recovery.
So, Kimi is a loser in the eyes of many by default.

Can Massa run some laps on Friday to know the circuit looking after next year and then pass the car to Fisico ?

Maybe they take Räikkönen out of the car and give it to Massa.
This is nothing more than a wet dream.
Oho: not unless they intend to aim for 4th in the WCC.. in that case they might as well put Badoer and Fisi in the Abu Dhabi race instead.

Well they are not gonna take 3rd anyway unless Hamilton once again trips in Brasil. McLaren at least conceivably has two drivers capable of scoring in better car. Ferrari has a fired soon to be ex employee who at any stage might start wondering why bother. Further more if Räikkönen decides to quit at the end of the season he might want to skip the race entirely to avoid from his perspective totally unnecessary extra media attention.
He might not have a contract by Abu Dhabi. What I gather is that although he seems to be bound for McLaren, it isn't quite a done deal, given the circumstances. So he might as well impress in the last race than sit out - where's the commitment and loyalty to a team? A future employer might even take that into consideration.

I feel Massa will simply relive his old role and deliver pizzas to the ferrari garage at Interlagos....

So?
It's only worth racing if can be in front of Kimi? If he is fit enough, I think it would be better to come back now than in Melbourne. So it will be mentally easier next year to be strong from beginning, having got the first race after crash out of the way.

In 2004 ralf schumacher missed 6 races after his indy crash yet first race back he qualified 5th, half a second ahead of montoya. Im not sure if he had some testing before that weekend. Probably did.

At this point Räikkönen really owes Ferrari neither. Besides I kind of conditioned sitting out on retirement from F1, in which case he really should not care less.

Well supposing it does happen, has the car changed somehow since Hungary? Kimi looks good in it now, while Fisi who is quite a decent driver has no confidence in it, it looks a very difficult car. I don't really rate Felipe but if he got back in it and was quick I would have to change my mind and be mega impressed.
His face doesn't look at all ready, the last I saw of it, but I suppose that could be quite superficial, any swelling round the eye always looks bad.
