Hi I am trying to track down any photos or information relating to the REG, a 250cc lightweight twin designed and built by Bob Geeson in the 1950's and ridden by many of the greats of the time: i.e John Surtees, Derek Minter, John Hartle, Ginger Payne, Norman Surtees, Bob Anderson, Sid Mizen, Fred Hardy, Arthur Wheeler, Jack Brett and Chris Vincent. I am interested because my father Douglas Dodd was a very close friend of Bob and was very involved in the REG bike throughout the 50's and early 60's.
The Sammy Miller museum has just completed a restoration of an early REG which I am planning on visiting later this week with my father.
I have posted a couple of scanned pictures that I have of the bike on:www.vintagebike.co.uk if anyone is interested.

Thanks

Nigel Dodd

Here is the 1962 version with Fred Hardy on board at the Gooseneck in the 250 TT where he came home 7th.

There was a good article on the REG 250 in Classic Racer not long ago, may be worth a look.

Hi Nigel
We have quite a few shots of the REG.
This is a nice weigh-in shot before the 1952 Lightweight TT
