Yeah but you'd think the Alonso fans would fill the void.

Never seen such a downbeat run up to a Ferrari launch, maybe it's for the best after last year. BTW in the official presser it says 'media from all over the world will attend' so I don't think that those previous rumours are true.
I managed to find the article. Here.

Ferrari has been abandoned by most of its fans, its evident from this thread. The top 2 teams with a large fan base are McLaren and Brawn

The debut of the new car can be seen live at 10:30 am on www.ferrari.com and RAI 2.
At least Italian folks will see launch live, when servers will fail miserably

QUOTE
Felipe will drive the new single-seater on the Fiorano track for a promotional video, weather conditions permitting. Otherwise Felipe will drive on Friday and, shouldn’t the weather conditions improve, the debut on the track will happen on Monday at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit on the occasion of the first official test session in Formula 1. The test session’s programme will see Felipe on the track on the first day, followed on Tuesday and Wednesday by Fernando Alonso behind the wheel of the new single-seater.
So Felipe will be first to test new Ferrari in action, great

Ferrari hasn't been abandoned by its fans

, but i am guessing that the absence of Schumy and Kimi fans does create a void

. Also certain people who used to post information here (no not only AFCA) don't anymore so it is not as exciting as it used to be. I used to check the thread daily for updates but now i might not check it for weeks. Anyway i can't wait to see the new car

The Baron almost certainly would have no chances in such a case

That doesn't bother me so much to be honest. Michael's got nothing to prove. It would make my life easier if he had no hope in hell of the title and could just go around wiping the floor with Rosberg, Vettel and Hamilton while the Ferrari drivers ran and hid fighting for the WDC between themselves.
Of course he has nothing to prove to anyone but wouldn't be amazing to see wipe all their ass ? A 10 title quest ?

I'm kinda looking forward to what McLaren will show on their twitter to coincide with Ferrari's launch haha. I wonder if it'll just be another ordinary object, or something flashy.
Come on guys, lets see some energy!!!

I checked weather forecast for Fiorano and while it's cold (-2 C), it will be sunny today and tomorrow, so I guess there won't be any problems with making promo video

Maranello, 27 January 2010 – Amongst the numerous news regarding the launch of the new Scuderia Ferrari single-seater, there is also an initiative connected to Telethon.
As of the upcoming season the logo of Telethon, the Foundation financing research projects in the areas of muscular dystrophy and other genetic diseases, will be present on the overalls of the Scuderia Ferrari drivers.
Ferrari’s engagement in favour of Telethon isn’t limited to Formula 1. As of this year also the Galleria Ferrari – the official museum in Maranello with over 200,000 visitors each year – will stand close to the Foundation. The museum’s visitors can contribute with donations via their tickets or at the ticket desk, where a Telethon donation can be found.
Furthermore the guests of Ferrari, who will have the opportunity to visit the company, will stand next to Telethon, contributing with a donation of at least 5 euros.
