Full Version: AUTOSPORT magazine subscribers - beat the postal strike

As I'm sure you are aware, Royal Mail staff are proposing a national strike on 22nd and 23rd October. This will lead to a disruption on all UK mail delivery and may cause a delay in the arrival of your AUTOSPORT subscription copy. Obviously in light of Sunday's Grand Prix result, this action is incredibly inconvenient.

We are doing everything we can to ensure your magazine is delivered as quickly as possible and, as well as drafting in additional staff to deal with your enquiries, we have produced a digital edition of this momentous issue to allow you access to all of the reactions, news and views - on time.

We will be making the digital version available as part of the autosport.com PLUS subscription. AUTOSPORT magazine subscribers enjoy free access to autosport.com PLUS as part of their package.

The digital version is available here. You will need to use your autosport.com PLUS login details to access the digital edition of the magazine.

IMPORTANT NOTE
As a magazine subscriber, you will need to activate your FREE autosport.com PLUS access. If you have done so, simply log in. If you have forgotten your password, click here for a reminder.

If you have not yet activated your FREE access to autosport.com PLUS, click here

Me again!

With the Royal Mail planning three more days of strikes next week, does that mean next week's issue will be made available online as well?

G'won. It's probably the best thing to happen to Autosport in a long time!

Brilliant, this is great. I normally receive my copy on the Thusday or Friday a week after publication, often it arrives on the Monday after the postal free weekend. I know it's not the fault of Royal Mail, as anything here can take between eight days and fifteen weeks, (yes I'm absolutely serious), in the post. Please let the electronic version continue.

AUTOSPORT will be available this week and next week online. If it is a success and people want it, it could be a future plan

Nice site.

Don't agree that the magazine is dying though, far from it.

I still enjoy having a fresh magazine in my hands.

Emphasis on fresh.

Brilliant once again. Can I make a small suggestion please if this is set to continue? Some of the text is a little bit hard to read in places.

For example, page 13 of the online issue and the Loeb piece is quite difficult to read with the white text on a black background. Or maybe it's just me?

Otherwise, thanks again!

OK, how is this for amazing.

After months of delays... my Autosport has arrived on THURSDAY!

And it's the current issue!

That hasn't happened for months!

Just wanted to add my vote to making this a regular feature I would happily pay more to get the magazine online on the day of issue.

Thanks

Is there a postal strike again this week?

Not that it matters much, as this week's issue is available online as well: http://www.autosport.com/postalstrike/

Well with the disruption last week still causing a bit of a hangover and further strike action taking place tomorrow & Monday it made sense to extend the digital offering for a third week.

Thanks to everyone who has given us feedback on this matter. If anyone else has any thoughts, feel free to let us know here

Forgive me if I am mistaken but this WAS a regular thing about a year or so ago wasn't it? Maybe 2 years ago, but I always wondered why it stopped.

The new version is much better though, keep it going please!

I bought the Autosport plus membership, but the magazine isn't online anymore... any one can give me more information?

Is the online magazine not longer an option ? cause if it is.. i am canceling my account right away.

Last week's is available at http://www.autosport.com/postalstrike. With the Royal Mail in the UK vowing not to go on strike again until next year, perhaps this means we won't see future issues online for a while?

That would be a shame as the technology obviously exists and I can see no reason not to make the mag available online.

At a guess I would think some people would pay the subscription fee and not bother with the paper mag itself, thus saving the publisher money???

I would be happy to pay for a digital version of Autosport Magazine, because the Magazine is ridiculously expensive for overseas subscribers. I think Autosport should investigate into the possibility to sell the digital version as well.

The maths knowledge is not all that good at Autosport's sales department as you can see from the pasted ad below. Not really a good way to get overseas customers

Perhaps there is no real interested in overseas customers, and they dont want to loose ground on UK readers by having the online version to a minimal fee, In my opinion, the one that really wants the magazine, will kept buying it. its not the same thing, but for many others customers like us overseas, its a terrific option to be able to see it online.

Hope they reconsider..

cheers.

I received a survey from Autosport last week on whether I would be interested in a subscription digital version of the magazine. Here's hoping. clap.gif As a comparison, an annual paper subscription here in Australia is about $450-$500, so an online version would be well received I'm sure.

How many pennies? Which country you from? I only paid £102 for 51 issues (annual) subscription a few months ago.

It took 3-4 weeks for my subscription to begin and I live in the UK. So I doubt you'll receive your first copy before the end of the year.

Here's a good one for you; I purchased my copy of today's Autosport from WH Smith which has a special cover price for this issue of £3.99, but Smiths haven't updated their system, and the barcode read as the standard cover price of £3.10! roflmao.gif
kamicasse
Its still the day that i havent receive my magazine yet... more than 4 weeks for the first issue... what do you recommend me to do?
dank
See, now today would have been an excellent day to plonk the mag on the website again as most of the country is under a load of snow and posties are struggling to make deliveries?

I havent still received any magazine of my subscription that i have already paid in advanced, and what is worst... i send more than 4 emails, and no one replay me.

Does anyone in autosport read the forums or check their emails? ?!?!?

With the postmen and women slightly reluctant to venture out in this cold stuff which has been dumped on the UK once again, deliveries for this week's Autosport are likely to be delayed again.

So, is it possible I can bribe you folk of Autosport.com with offers of sweets and fizzy pop to put this week's issue up online? G'won do it! Do it! Do it!
