Does anyone know the best place on the internet to look at, and to purchase:

1) F1 remote control cars?
2) Tamiya build-yourself F1 kits?
3) 1:18/1:8/1:12 scale F1 Models (Minichamps, etc), particularly older cars?

regards,
doohanOK.

p.s. apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

Erm, well, on the 1:18 Minichamps front, these are places I've used before for 1:43s. I'm only a young collector so have no idea how well known these sites are...

There's the http://www.minichamps.de shop as well of course, which I haven't used but which still existed the last time I looked. I don't know much about online stockists of Tamiya sets or remote control F1 cars (even though I have one or two of the former) other than the websites of local modellers/hobby shops.

I used to buy 1:43 Minichamps models from Clevelands. Bought several at a time and kept one for me and sold the rest on eBay.

They used to offer a decent rate for bulk buys, but I gave up last year when the prices of them jumped up to a silly amount due to zinc (or was it copper?) prices going up in China. Ridiculously expensive now.
