Full Version: Yamaha celebrates its racing history

As mentioned in another thread, earlier this week, I had the opportunity to visit Yamaha HQ in Hamamatsu (Iwata actually) and while there visited the communications plaza, our welcome center. There is a display area upstairs that is changed from time to time and I was thrilled to find it currently celebrates the history of Yamaha's success in racing. I took a few snaps and thought you would like a little look. Enjoy.

I think if you look carefully Roy , you can spot the earlier works racers in the background in some of Mo's pics up.gif

Goodpoint actually. There is lots of great and older stuff ( as well as a huge collection of important off road bikes) but me being a fan of the eighties road racing world championships, I guess I inadvertantly applied my own filter.

    I was looking through these again - the Fiat-liveried Moto GP bike appears to have a cartoon of Guy Martin on the fairing...... roflmao.gif

    Actually it was Lorenzo's bike from '08...I guess it is supposed to be Jorge?
