Kubica better than Nick, he is young, won race, was title contender last year, but he marginally better. German media would press hard Mercedes if they really want Kubica instead of Nick who also without a seat now.

Nick beat Kubica twice.

he said nothing about Kimi. I think its a good sign. He knows nothing because its all confindental.

Wow although Kimi left F1 he is the most discussed man here at the forum smile.gif

Well if Kubica is the big surprise of Haug then I just can say: BOOOORING yawnface.gif

In TS Keke says already that to his knoledge Kimi is considering something else than driving in Mercedes.
TS has also got information from Merc that they are now waiting for Renaults desicion. Kubica is now ahead of Heidfeld.

If Raikkonen doesn't go to Mercedes I think Kuby would be better than Heidfeld, and more interesting to watch.

It is all up to Kimi what he will do 2010. Mercedes wants him for sure and Haug knows how fast Kimi is and feels he finally has to pay back for those engine failures back in Mclaren times that "robbed" him from two titles (2003 and 2005). Norbert wants to make Kimi a WDC now. But Kimi propably already has a "juicy" contract for 2011 with Red Bull to join his pal Vettel. If he´s to sign with Mercedes now there has to be a deal that Kimi is happy with or else he will sit out 2010 and go to RB 2011. I do believe though that Kimi allready has signed with Mercedes with an option that he could leave 2011 should the Mercedes not be able to fight for wins. I also believe that he, with the help of Aabar money, will be the highest payd driver on the grid. Kimi want´s to be in a car that could give him another title and Mercedes, with the genius Ross Brawn, is most certainly capable of managing just that. I think the announcement will come very soon, within a week.

Remains to be seen that one. The only thing we really know is that Mercedes wants Raikkonen and that contact(s) has been made. Outside of that it's nothing but speculation and rumours at the moment.
Oracle
Kimi's deal was just announced on Eurosport

He signed three year deal with the team - MyF1Dream - they said he will drive for free in 2010 but will get 51 % of the stocks of MyF1Dream at the end of the season if he managed to get more than 10 points in WDC. In 2011 and 2012 he will have 51 % of the stocks and fire all the kids away from the team and hire Mick Jagger as a Team Manager. In 2012 they will also list in NASDAQ

But Kimi propably already has a "juicy" contract for 2011 with Red Bull ..

What does it mean? RB propose him more money than Mclaren (Mercedes)? Agree on zero PR from Kimi and give him possibility to do as much rally as he want? And where is guaranty RB will be contender?

Don't buy it.

If Kimi want he could drive Mclaren and now - Mercedes. It's all about him.

On points maybe, but what happened in 2008 when the car was quite good?
Robert Kubica was actually a title contender.
Sometimes you have drivers that are good in midfield cars but once they
get in a good car nothing happens.
Heidfeld seems to be that kind of driver together with Fisichella, Frentzen etc etc.

Barrichello beat Button one year (2008) but when the car was a championship
contender, Button got 6 wins against buttons 2.

Oh my, oh my. I really thought I´m kind of capable to read finnish.. My translation oh TS would be..

Keke says: " I have also understood that Kimi wants something else than move the Mercedes".

That´s the only sentence I found from TS website. Maybe there´s more in printed version? But I luckily don´t live the area they are most common..

I just saw Keke's interview, and he said clearly next things:

Kimi: Kimi wants sabbatical, but Robertsons want him to continue

Heikki: Heikki either has contract already or he doesn't undestand the seriousness of his situation

Nico: Nico is now ready for next level!

There, do with that what you want. tongue.gif

I'm not sure whats so cool, from the above, I know its just your opinion, if Kimi wants to carry then he needs to quit the premadonna act, he's come across very spoilt, after all this and the macca situation, the current supposed demands, I'm not sure he deserves a F1 drive

That's debatable. No one thought Button-Rubens were a match for Massa-Kimi or Hamilton-Heikki, did they?

It seems the terms of his contract termination with Ferrari do not allow him to drive in 2010 for any team placed ahead of Ferrari in the 2009 World Championship. Apart from risking the compensation he’s got for the contract termination, he’d probably would face legal issues for breaching this agreement.

QUOTE (Anssi @ Nov 25 2009, 00:57) *
Working with smart people who actually see the forest from the trees Kimi doesn't need to be a politician. At Ferrari it seems to be a requirement that you do some "brown nosing" to get the team to work well with you. Schumacher did it, Massa did it, Kimi really didn't do it, oh well, what a surprise, Kimi fell out of favour at Ferrari... cat.gif he's never been a brown noser and he will never be one. Those kinds of drivers should stay out of the Ferrari team.

What changed during the season the brown nosed driver in the team got injured so they were forced to work with the other one. Not surprisingly the performance graph of that driver went dramatically up once they (unwillingly I dare to say) switched their attention to him.

It's only one person's opinion but that's kind of the way I saw Ferrari and Kimi this year. Or characterised another way;

The Michael Method was lapped up by Felipe while Kimi said "no thanks I'm capable of running my own side of the garage". The development went Felipe's way naturally but as soon as the weight was transferred, we saw the results very very suddenly start to flow.

Some would say the latter was pure coincidence. cat.gif

Have I missed something? Didn't Ferrari initially "breach the agreement" well, no sorry, breach the contract!!

If thats true it again brings into question the respect Ferrari deserve.

The break the contract then demand Kimi not drive for certain teams? What a joke.
