Handbags at dawn at the Thursday FIA press confernce!

From Twitter:

NobleF1
Jarno Trulli and Adrian Sutil are having a big disagreement about their Brazil crash in the FIA press conference

NobleF1
Trulli has produced pictures of their crash to show he was alongside the Force India driver. Kimi and Fernando are laughing a lot

byronf1
Trulli and Sutil have a public spat in a press conference in front of journalists over their Sao Paulo clash. "Are you blind" asked Sutil

alanbaldwinf1
Trulli and Sutil continuing row from Brazil, with former brandishing photos at news conference to make his point. Sutil not impressed.
D.M.N.
Seems that Trulli still hasn't gotten over Brazil. Let's hope Sutil and Trulli do not start on the same row come Sunday. lol.gif

Who says these pressers are boring?
Psymon
I like how Trulli has taken pictures along with him

Where's the video!

potmotr
Exactly. Would like to see video of it but not sure they are filmed are they?
Phucaigh
Trulli had unfinished business with Sutil after their spat was prematurely ended in Brazil.

Go Jarno.

I was expecting some fireworks at the press conference, looking forward to reading it, pity they don't stream it or put it up on the official F1 site. F1 can be so backward at times.
Buttoneer
How exciting. I bet they are filmed by someone.

Yeah, I totally agree.

They have a website, no one appears to broadcast from GPs on the Thursday, so why not?

From what I've noticed most of the Thursday press conference stuff ends up going out on TV on the Friday.

As for the clash, I really think it is a racing incident.

Jarno should have known better.

Would be quite interesting, Italians tend to get pretty animated when they're fired up.

Sutil looks like quite a cool customer, so I guess he would have played it that way.
Captain Tightpants
It's more interesting than the Q&A with Nico Rosberg, where they just asked him a dozen variations on the same question.

Yeah, that looks quite funny.

From the Noble tweets he says Alonso and Raikkonen were laughing at Trulli.

Would be interesting to see!

They are, but strangely only ever appear in extreme circumstances or sometimes of the season review DVD. Someone (F1.com) should put them online, but I guess journalists won't get their exclusives that way?

I don't think there's such a thing as an exclusive from a press conference with hundreds of hacks is there?

I mean, most are now using Twitter to report in real time.

Hilarious. I can't believe he actually brought the pictures to the conference. I need pics of the all the faces in the room when he first presents them please.

Edit: Beaten lol.gif
Psymon
If we don't get any video of it, hopefully at least there should be some good photographs coming out of it!

*Edit*
Damn, Francesc posted that pic whilst I was typing... make that hopefully there should be some more pics coming out of it smile.gif

Oh, cool. Where are you seeing those shots man?
postajegenye
I can imagine the scene, Trulli and Sutil arguing and Kimi and Alonso just laughing at them biggrin.gif

It's a shame we don't get to see these press conferences, I don't even understand why not - they cannot be secret or anything, after all we can read the whole stuff afterwards.
Atreiu
It must have been huge to make Kimi laugh.
smile.gif

Youtube is your friend, I hope it's there soon enough.

edit: Trulli, shut up.
f1rules
i cant believe trulli is this stupid, he was clearly at fault, what an idiot

Trulli started the season in controversy when he was in the right but not believed, probably ending the season the same way but without any action.
dau
Seriously, Jarno. This is getting ridiculous. Can't you just leave F1 in style or something?
potmotr
It was a total racing incident.

It wasn't as though Sutil pushed Trulli off the track.

Trulli was already on the kerbs with nowhere to go, he should have known better.

Trulli is acting like a mna without a ride next year who is getting more than a little desperate.
postajegenye
Alonso should get involved in the argument too, after all he was the innocent victim of the incident. wink.gif

He was beside Sutil before entering the corner, Sutil gave no room and claimed blindness with the excuse he didn't see him.

YES! This is a useful way to use Press Conf time!
Buttoneer
Maybe it's more grimace than smile from Trulli but the only person who doesn't look comfortable there is Sutil.

I think that's a fair excuse!

Trulli made himself 100 reliant on Sutil playing ball.

Sutil didn't, so three cars crashed out of the race.

I really think Trulli is to blame.
gincarnated
Since when do we blame people for holding racing line.
Atreiu
Here in Brazil I've seen hundreds of all sorts of races ran at Interlagos, and that kind of crash always happens. And it's always about someone being overoptimistic and going full throttle over the kerb with wheels on the grass expecting the guys aside to pull him a favour and simply lift the throttle. It just doesn't happen that way.

And it's not like Trulli hasn't already been to Interlagos a dozen of times or more to notice the exit of the corner is full throttle and the entire track is used.

It's amazing that here he is on the cusp of a possible retirement and Trulli still thinks it's Baby Formula.
JPW
Thursday press conference is not for settling your petty little differences from last GP, hopefully Jarno will receive a good bollocking afterwards, whiner.
One
Have trulli a choice not to move aside when Sutil came closer at the corner exit? have they ended up in anyways out of the race anyways?
Phucaigh
We need all drivers to be politically correct.

Should be race suspensions, heavy fines and loads of complaints by the fans if they step out of line.

As much as I would like to agree with that, it's hardly a coincidence both Jarno and Adrian are present in the press conference. For sure, nobody in the FIA/FOM saw this coming... rolleyes.gif

I quite like a bit of passion.

But not cooling down after two weeks is pretty obsessive behaviour!

Still, I'm sure Jarno was wound up to the max by the various hacks present.

Interesting he came armed with photos though.

I attend all my press conferences clutching several pictures, don't you?

I worry that Trulli could hold a grudge for two whole weeks. Unless it was all meant in jest, which I could fully understand?

Wow, that was amazing. Very entertaining smile.gif
egg1980
Someone should whisper in Trulli's ear the words 'this is not going to help you get a drive for next year' obviously Charlie Whiting's chat with them either hasn't worked, or hasn't happened yet....
Psymon
How long does it usually take for a press conference transcript to go up? tongue.gif
wingwalker
HAHA! Totally must had lost connection with a real world, or maybe he had too much of his wine.. Everyone in his shoes would simply apologize for over reacting and moved on but no, he must prove that him putting 4 wheels onto the kerbs and then two wheels onto the grass is someone else's fault. Clown.

edit: video, please!

Trulli believes that was Sutil did by giving no room was one of the most dangerous situations he had faced in F1 and that is going back to 1997.

QUOTE
Q. Is this the worst incident of its type that you seen in Formula 1?

JT: Honestly, yes. That is why I was so bloody nervous afterwards when I jumped out of the car. To happen once is a racing accident – we might have a touch or we might bang wheels. But when someone does it deliberately at that speed, this is crazy. It is unacceptable. You cannot do that. It is like a straight – you are flat, and he basically sent me onto the kerbs and grass when I was on the straight. I cannot accept any apology, I am sorry. It is clear to anyone in the paddock that you cannot do that.

Who mentioned political correctness?
The fuss has been about a driver as experienced as Trulli making such a scene over a first lap racing incident he could have avoided.

If he had come out and said "Yeah, I'm still pissed off and Sutil and I still don't agree. Screw it, that's racing and I won't let it happen next time." That would have hardly been been PC and he still would have made his point without looking silly.

Agreed. Trulli is being a complete knobend and a blind one at that. Quite funny if this turns out to be his last GP!
Rinehart
If that shunt was Sutils fault then Trulli was responsible for putting Kubica in the wall in Canada and nearly killing him.
