Hmm. It doesn't look like these bread-related puns will go stale anytime soon.
potmotr
Man, bad puns seem to be the yeast of Bertie's problems.

He's got dough driver at the moment.
Owen
Yeh, just hope he can raise the dough for a seat at Campos...

Agreed. Dough is exactly what he kneads at the moment.

up.gif lol.gif I actually laughed out loud at that one.
potmotr
He won't want to be in one of those new and unsauteed cars.

That would be like driving on a bread-knife edge.
potmotr
We should be serious for a while guys.

Baguette's had a really nasty crash while testing.

I hope he'll be better in time for Basketlona next week.

No, after that incident, he's toast.
Demo.
I went into my local sandwich shop today to buy a turky Baguette
but was told they have a roll ambivalent.gif
Because they have removed Baguette's off the menu due to being a slow moving product

Chicken McNuggets
A really tasty crash, you meant. wave.gif
Disgrace
Surprised to read this.

Looks like he must have run out of funds, he seemed to be on the F1 ladder.

No longer such a tasty prospect...

In the Belgian press he said that he wanted to drive IndyCar this year so that he keeps in shape because the test drivers can't do any testing during the season but his ambition is still very much set on F1.

So..Baguette is just buttering his bread with the Indy gig..so he won't loaf around this season..??

That takes some crust...

up.gif Yep. Baguette has had to settle for the crumbs from the table.
ensign14
Conquest Racing? I would have thought he would have chosen a team from the yeast coast.
cheapracer
Ahhh still laffin', what a great thread that you Guys are putting the icing on up.gif

I guess some think it's pretty crumby and half baked though.

Bertrand Baguette is racing in IRL, sponsored by Subway?
Jones Foyer
Any way you slice it, he'd better have an impressive seasoning this year, otherwise his career is toast. Too bad, because it looked like his star was rising, now it seems to have collapsed. Maybe the distraction of his wife who has a bun in the oven, is too much- he has a lot of pressure to be the family breadwinner. So, at the end of the year, we'll see how he's seeded, and if he's top crust material, a good team will surely bag him.

Oh, I should have been more respectful. I'm just glad it was a direct impact, and he didn't roll it.

Was going to post some Bertrand Baguette-related punage ahead of his first IndyCar race, but thought the butter of it.
Docc
Baguette showed his starch..even though his car had No carbs. When they turned up the heat..Baguette rose to the occasion..demonstrating his crust as soon to be well seasoned.

autosport.com seems to think that Sauber's new technical director has a name with similar potential:

Aw, that easily qualifies for Worst Pun of the Week Award...

Ladies and gentlemen, please resurrect the puns, Bertrand Baguette will drive for OAK Racing in the WEC and at Le Mans in LMP1. Will he rise to the occasion under the warmth of the French crowds? tongue.gif

Clearly Baguette has had enough of loafing around and really kneads the dough to earn a crust now. I'm sure he will rise to this challenge, just hope nothing goes a-rye.
phew!
Fastcake
Let us hope that this year will season him enough, so Baguette will be able to cope with the toasty conditions in Bahrain. He spent the last year nibbling at the crusts and needs to get up to speed as the teams are always separating the wheat from the chaff.
