Nope, Sir Jackie Stewart is sitting in his place!
I think Vijay Mallya has muzzled Phillips after he spoke out of turn about Fisichella.
Good for Mallya, and very good for us.

I think he's a guest commentator so could be forgiven for being a bit vague.
The knowledge, the anecdotes and opions are worth it.
Besides, he does't have the awesome responsibility of a full time commentator or RC Forum moderator!

Jackie Stewart has been superb. He has some much knowledge to give.
He could almost do the who job on his own. But it's a good job he has Croft there to correct his odd mistake.
The BBC really are blessed to have so many great ex-drivers commentating for them.

I take it you've never heard Damon Hill commentating. Guest commentators tend to be very busy people, they don't have time to extensively swot up, unlike the regular commentators. And given the twists and turns of the KERS debacle who can blame him.

Then maybe he shouldn't have waded in with his tirade over KERS if he doesn't know what the situation is with the rules.

Jackie Stewart was a pleasure to listen to this afternoon, for someone who was winning races 40 odd years ago he seems to keep up with the action on track very well and the depth of insight on his part is excellent.

I didn't hear what he said, but unless you reckon he was talking off the top of his head it's most likely that he thought he understood the situation. Frankly there have been so many twists and turns that I'm not surprised he's failed to keep up to speed.

I thought he did pretty well. Yeah he got ixed up about the KERS but then ther isnt a definitive answer on that yet so its understandable.
Out of the guest commentators i can recall of late, id say he was the best of the bunch. I tend to ignore him when he talk about the FIA but only because im sick of Mosley and Co.
He's still so enthusiastic about the sport aswell which is great to listen to considering he hasnt raced a car in anger in 36 years.

jake at his best on talking about getting ready to compete in a lotus:

This weekend I will be tapping into DC and Martin's knowledge in the paddock at Monza. In fact, David will be at the race and on the day before will be giving me his expert guidance around the home of British motorsport. We'll also be recreating Eddie Jordan's past by dragging him along as a rather reluctant team boss to whip me into shape. Should be cracking fun.
I'm essentially asking anyone who can help for advice. I even saw Jos Verstappen the other day, and thought about asking him if he could recommend anyone.
