Q. Mark, what about this McLaren performance? Do you think you can take the race to them tomorrow?

MW: Easy. We are not stopping tomorrow. We don't do a pit stop. We just put the option on for the last lap and we jump them like that, so pretty straightforward.

Q. (Vajta Balazs – Autosport Es Formula) For all three drivers: the last two or three days we've basically heard only positive words about the track: how great it is, the facilities and everything else. I know it's also very hard to name negative aspects about yourself, but can you name or point out some negative points about the track?

MW: We're paid lots of money to say good stuff, obviously. You know that we get backhanders to say that it's a great track, so we're not going to say anything negative. The deal is done before we all arrive, so 20 drivers, we get a backhander, easy from there! It's a great facility, it's a good track.

kudos to webber... lol.gif

kimi infact publicaly remarked the track had boring slow corners

there arent too many bends properly propelled, perhaps only a couple. . All the other are those which are hard braking and then run through low-speed twists and turns. . In that sense, this is a bit dull track. The first couple of bends are those which you can drive a bit harder, but then they are(google translation was crap)

Stuff like this epitomises why I hold Webber in high esteem against the other corporate robots patrolling in F1 lol.gif

I like Webber, probably the most likeable and witty out of all the F1 drivers, I hope he becomes a pundit/journo when he retires

Yeh, Lewis and Webber and are funny guys. The most funny guys on the grid. Lewis always speaks his mind and doesnt worry about what the team thinks.

I try to imagine Webber and Raikkonen commentating on a race..........

"Yep, ran out of talent there"....

"Maybe the other guy pulled a stupid move on him".....

Is there another Lewis on the grid that we don't know of? Because, surely you are not talking about Lewis Hamilton, mister politically correct.

There are some outspoken drivers: Webber, Alonso or Kimi. The problem is that when Alonso speaks his mind is often to whine, while Kimi sys what he wants, that is usually very little.

That's right up there with Roy&HG - blatant pisstaking, you got to love it... lol.gif

On another note - I've always wondered how Mark takes the stuff that Roy&HG dishes out to him on their show. I'm pretty sure now that he would see the funny side of it...

yeah i think they had to eat their words a bit this year. I've never liked listening to those guys, mainly because they have no appreciation for motorsport. i think i've heard them say as much that they don't consider car racing 'sport', thus explaining their love of taking the piss out of webber.

still, i made sure i tuned in the monday after webber won his first race!

It's well worth giving the post-race conference a quick read, especially during the 'questions from the floor' section where Webber and Vettel rib Button over his supposed Wedding soon: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/79963

Ummm, I don't think Jessica Michibata will be very amused by this... After all, she said he would marry her if he managed to win the WDC.
